Heya Jayson. By lowering the acid, I'm assuming you mean raising the pH. There are several ways to do this...Lime; Hydrated or Dolomite, or a tea from wood ashes will raise pH. I'm a hydro guy, so I'm gonna refer you to our Library for more info. There should be plenty of threads in the Soil and Soil pH sections on how best to alter your soils acidity/alkalinity.

Your soil has salts in it? If it does, you should flush it really well with lots of clean water. If you're soil is highly acidic, it could kill sprouts/seedlings so get it balanced first. Lime is good but can take a long time to affect the soil. Wood ashes mixed into a tea will act much faster.
