Hey darkvader, you've asked a tough question, because the answer is more opinion based then fact.

There are a handful of major brand nutes on the market today, and someone likes each of them best. For bottled nutes...I use a couple of different brands. Pure Blend Pro-Fruit & Flower, and Pure Blend Pro Accelerated veg. Formula- both from Botanicare. I also use Tiger Bloom from Fox Farms.

These are just two examples. You can try Googling the keywords "plant nutrients", or "hydroponics nutrients", of course there's always "marijuana nutrients" Then take a look through some online hydro stores to see what they offer.

Now are the Pure Blend Products for soil and/or hydroponics, or can they be used for both? Beener would you suggest Pure Blend Pro Veg for the veg stage, then Tiger Bloom for the flowering stage?

Botanicare (PBP) and Fox Farms (T. Bloom) make both, soil & hydro nutes. Most of them are cross compatible (including these), so they can be used in both or either.

Just check the label. If it's a product that can be used either way...they'll note it in the directions for use. If there's no make up info for soil, or it's not stated anywhere on the label, don't use it in soil. Most 3 part hydro nutes cannot be used in soil.

I use the Pure Blend Pro veg for everything....soil or hydro. It's the only veg nute I use. From there..I'll use either the Pure Blend pro Fruit & Flower, or the Fox Farms Tiger Bloom for flowering.

The only reason I use both, is the PBP Fruit & Flower nutes are a relatively new formula, and I wanted to test it next to something I was familiar with. I was a little suspect of the NPK (2.5-2-5). That's pretty low phosphorus for a flowering nute. So far...the F&F is out performing the Tiger Bloom, but the test grow isn't complete. There's a lot that can happen in the last two weeks. So I'll make a final decision then.

My personal preference in nutes are Botanicare (makers of Pure Blend Pro). I like their particular ingredients much better than anyone elses. Seabird Guano is in my opinion, the best source of nutrients for MJ.

That being said...I've used PBP veg & Tiger Bloom Flower together in soil more than once, and had fine results....

If you're growing in soil and not growing organically, Peters will also do you right and it's available pretty much everywhere.

20-20-20 during veg
10-50-10 during flowering
flush well last 2 weeks for sativa strains, 1 week for short flowering indicas

Hey bostonblazer, Sorry bro'...I can't post a direct link to a retail site...against posting guidelines. But...you can find them on Ebay, or nearly every online hydro shop on the net. Just poke the keywords into your search engine (pure blend pro, botanicare, hydroponics nutrients, etc.). There are several online hydro shops to compare price with. They're all fairly close in price, but the shipping may vary.

The Peters nutes that Grasshopper pointed out, are usually available just about anywhere that has a garden dept. As far as chemical nutes go...Peters is IMO the best choice for MJ. Cheap, and has the Magnesium that Miracle Gro doesn't.
