I was wondering. I bought some Peters Super Blossom today (10-52-10). I was wondering if anyone has had any comparison with this to Fox Farms Products, as I will be going to look at those this week. I realize this might be a matter of opinion but I just figured someone might've experimented with both.

You really cannot begin to compare the peters with the Foxfarms as foxfarms products are almost fully organic. (note: I say almost because there is some inconsistancy with some ingredients used) ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yeah, I was going to say comparing the two is like comparing apples and apes Peters is quick and dirty - no fuss, no muss. It's available pretty much everywhere and is a good chemical alternative to Miracle Grow. I've used it and it's great. Fox Farms strikes me more as a philosophy of growing. You either buy into their philosophy or you don't. I've never used them but people who do love them and I've never heard any problems.

![]() ![]() | Well that's what I figured. It's all about what you like. Hey GH, when do you start using the Peters? Do you start with the recommended dose, 1tbsp/gallon and increase it every feeding?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I use Peters fertilizer and if you are growing in pots the dose is 1 tsp/gal of water. I feed once a week and I try to work it into a normal watering schedule. As soon as the clones are firmly rooted or the seedlings have a few sets of leaves is when I give them the full dose. ![]()

![]() ![]() | Thanks Buzz, but i'm using Peters Super Blossom. I think your thinking of something else. Unless that's what you use for them. The NPK ratio is 10-52-10. So would I start using that the 4th week into flowering after I cut off my original supply of N. Or can I use that right when I begin flowering seeing as how it supplies it's own N.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I am not thinking of something else. Check the label again for your measurement. The 1 Tbsp/gallon is for plants in the landscape not those in containers. I'l quote from the label on the box. It is in small print under Watering Can & Pail Use:. "For house plants use 1 tsp. per gallon of water." I feed the 10-52-10 right from the start of 12/12. If they appear to be Nitrogen hungry during the stretch I will give them a dose of 20-20-20. After the stretch I feed once a week until 2 weeks before harvest. Only water the last two weeks. ![]()
