Organic or chemical (we'll sort 'em out), no discussion about the other recipes, just your own. Please give measurements in US and or Metric if you will (no pinches or dabs! ). Add any hints and kinks about mixing if ya have 'em. Pics are always cool!OP {Edit: Better include yer nutes and nute sched. as well! OP

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Here is my simple, store-bought combination: -70% Scotts Indoor Potting Soil - (0 - 0.01 - 0) -30% Perlite I simply start ferting with water nutes in a week or 2, very easy soil mix for newbs. The scotts is very soft soil, almost silky, and comes in resealable bags. They also sell a completely unfertilized kind as well, but i feel it is a bit different mixture. -PIMP

I havent seen this combo fail yet so here you go. I use pro mix soil i use the paper towel method for sprouting then switch them to a soil only a 16-20 pot with a large aquaruim gravel. then transplant into 3.5 gallon pot. i use the most basic perlite i can find, no miricale grow stuff. 50/50 with the soil. veg. soil mix 3-4 tablespoons of blood meal per gal 3-4 tblsp of kelp and bone meal per gal 1 tblsp of magnesuim sulfate per gal for flowering i transplant into a 5 gallon bucket, and make sure to fill it to the top with soil (to get the most root space possible cuz i have indoor garden) 2 tblsp of blood meal per gal 4 tblsp of kelp meal per gal 3 tblsp of bone meal per gal and a teaspoon of mag depending if the plant show a mag deficiency during veg. i also use fish emulsion during veg and then foxfarm big bloom and foxfarm tiger bloom during flowering. for my next grow i will be adding some worm castings to the mix cuz i hear they are the ****! ive also wanted to try adding manuer to the mix but since i grow indoors ive always been afraid to cuz i like the idea having the smell of poop emiting into my bedroom while i entertain lady friends. good luck with your grows my friends and can't wait to see what else others are using. ![]() | My first soil mix for my first grow, that resulted in some big old buds and kick butt smoke. I used 5 gallon buckets with about 2 inches of river rock on the bottom I then filled the bucket 1/2 full with good old Walmart potting soil. I then added about 1-1/2 inches of sand, 1-1/2 inches of peat moss and about 1-1/2 inches of "Mother Nature's Worm Castings. I mixed this mixture by hand, and popped my babies in. When it was time to turn back my light to 12/12, out of the 5 plants I had started, I had 3 girls. I fertilized with WormBat Power Flower tea, and when the girls started flowering, I threw in 6 nightcrawlers into each bucket and then put another inch of my worm castings on the top of my soil mixture. I have no idea why I put those darn nightcrawlers in there, it was just a whim and I figured if they died, they'd be good fertilizer, and if the lived, they would areate the soil. I had no idea what I was doing with that first grow, but I guess it worked pretty good and my friends seemed to enjoy the hell out of it.

| Vegging soil mix: 40 pound bag (about 6 gallons) topsoil 3-4 gallons peat moss 20 pounds (3-4 gallons) compost/worm castings 5 x 8 quart bags (10 gallons) perlite 2 cups kelp meal (NPK 1-.1-2, also many micronutes) 2 cups alfalfa meal (NPK 2.5-1-1, also contains the valuable growth hormone triacontanol) 1 cup bat guano (NPK 3-10-1) 4 cups hardwood ashes (NPK 0-0-7, also many micronutes) This makes about 25 gallons, and should have a pH of approximately 6.4. Add more peat moss to lower or more ashes to raise pH as necessary. Flowering soil mix: 40 pound bag (about 6 gallons) topsoil 3-4 gallons peat moss 20 pounds (3-4 gallons) compost/worm castings 5 x 8 quart bags (10 gallons) perlite 2 cups kelp meal (NPK 1-.1-2, also many micronutes) 2 cups bat guano (NPK 3-10-1) 6-8 cups hardwood ashes (NPK 0-0-7, also many micronutes, use enough to get the pH up to around 6.8) To mix my soil, I basically dump the ingredients out onto the cement floor of my garage and stir them with a hoe. First I mix up the soil, peat moss, compost/castings and perlite really well and spread it out evenly over the floor to a thickness of a few inches. Then I mix the nutrients together in a large ziploc bag, sprinkle them as evenly as possible over the soil, and mix everything thoroughly with the hoe. Any leftover soil mix is stored in a sealed plastic bin. | ||

This is a Schedule that I started when I first started Growing. Fox Farm has proved to me to be a very effective fertilizer and to me, Marijuana Friendly. Hope the New Grow Guide goes well... Soil: 50 percent Perlite 50 percent Fox Farm Ocean Forest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Food: Fox Farm All the way. For Vegging. Fox Farm - Grow Big Liquid Concentrate Works fast to encourage lush, vegetative plant growth by providing an extra boost of nitrogen (6-4-4) an important trace minerals. Derived From: Ammonium NItrate, ammonium Phosphate, potassium Phosphate, potassium nitrate, Earthworm Castings, Magnesium Nitrate, Blood meal, Norwegian Kelp, Magnesium Sulfate, Potassium Sulfate, Iron EDTA, Manganese EDTA, ZINC EDTA, Copper EDTA, Chelating agent, disodium Ethylenediamine tetra acetate(EDTA). Sodium Borate, and sodium Molydate. Total Nitrogen 2.9 %... Ammoniacal Nitrogen 3.1%.......... Nitrate Nitrogen Both of these are a important mixture of nitrogen. Together they work wonders... Nitrate and ammonia... Available Phosphate ( P2o5).. 4.0% Souluble Potash (k20)....... 4.0% Magnesium (MG) 0.60% 0.60% Water Soluble magnesium Sulfur (S) 0.50% Boron (B.)...................0.02 % Chelated Copper (CU).............0.05% Chelated Iron (FE) .........................0.10% Chelated Manganese (MN).......0.05% Molybdenum ( MO).................... 0.0009% Chelated Zinc (ZN)......................0.05 percent ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FOX FARM BIG BLOOM Pure Organic.... Total Nitrogen (N)...................................................... 0.01% 0.002% Ammoniacal Nitrogen 0.001% Nitrate Nitrogen 0.005% Water soluble Nitrogen 0.002%Water insoluble Nitrogen Available Photsphate....................................................0.3% Soluble Potash..............................................................0.7% Derived From: Earthwrom castings, Bat adn seabird Guano, Rock Phosphate, Sulfate of Potash magnesia, and Norwegian kelp... Excellent stuff...... Cant beat that if you ask me.... FOR FLOWERING---------------------------------------------------------- FOX FARM TIGER BLOOM... Organic Based... Total Nitrogen 2.0% 0.10 %... Ammoniacal Nitrogen 1.90%.......... Nitrate Nitrogen Both of these are a important mixture of nitrogen. Together they work wonders... Nitrate and ammonia... Available Phosphate ( P2o5).. 8.0% Souluble Potash (k20)....... 4.0% Calcium ( CA) 2.0% Magnesium (MG) 0.5% 0.5% Water Soluble magnesium Boron (B.)...................0.02 % Chelated Copper (CU).............0.05% Chelated Iron (FE) .........................0.12% Chelated Manganese (MN).......0.06% Molybdenum ( MO).................... 0.0009% Chelated Zinc (ZN)......................0.05 percent Derived From: Calcium Nitrate, Magnesium Nitrate, Ammonium Nitrate, ammonium phosphate, potassium Phosphate, Potassium Nitrate, Earthworm casting, Kelp, Iron EDTA, Zinc EDTA, Copper EDTA, Chelating Agents, Disodium Ethylenediane Tetra Acetate EDTA, Sodium Borate, And sodium Molybdate. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Way I use My food. As You can see with all the ingredients in my Plant food. They are getting a full dose of What Marijuana Needs to grow a full and to its potential of its genetics. I like Excellent Quality smoke. SO I look for the best ways to meet my needs. And The Type of food I give it. Is the only thing I can really control in Soil. So Very Important. TO Have A good reliable PH meter. Although once you got your routine down you wont need to check the PH. I also Use During vegging Nitrozime. I will use this as a foliar feeding or a soil drenching. It helps smaller plants establish roots and faster growth. But not during Flowering So I follow this chart to a Tee... ![]()
