On accident, I bought a Hanna ph tester that is for hydroponics not soil. It was about 25 dollars and the model number is HI98103. I cannot return it, is there any way that i will be able to accurately test my soil ph with this device, or am i out 25 dollars? thanks akquickel88

![]() | I agree with Bull. Just test the run off water and make sure that you rinse it off after each use. Actually, with this unit you will be able to test the ph levels of your water and nutrient solution, as well.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Runoff really isn't a good way to test soil pH. Runoff pH is skewed as it may have high/low salt content and still doesn't test the media itself. I suggest that you purchase a soil meter. Do a search about soil pH testing. I know there's a way to use that meter that involves mixing soil and water but tbh I'm not all too sure how accurate it maybe. I think this thread more belongs in the plant food and nutrients forum so let's go over there...thread moved. ![]()
