![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | they look good so far, Ty. What does your humidity run without the humidifier? DO you have gas heat?

![]() | Dr. G im planning to get a HH mainly to enclose any smell that may come and for temperature, am i doing it for the right reason, im a newb to growing, i live in a apt by myself and have 2 closets to use but its almost winter where i am and my parents visit once in a while. my other idea for growing would be a 4'' tall growing shelf with lights hanging over, but it would at the most just be enclosed in a closet. im going for the HH, what do you think? thanks in advance. im waiting on my purp seeds from bcbud depot =) peace

![]() | I know the main house has one but I don't think my water lines are tied in. I planted the kids in to the bubble buckets using 1/2 RO water and 1/2 drinking water I went and bought the other day. So far so good. here is a few pics. Just wish they were more green. Fox Farm Ferts Ph is right around 6 ppm is around 580 water temp in the buckets = 78 temp in the hut = 80 humidity = 40 - 60 (tank runs low )![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The water temperature in the buckets is too high and can lead to pythium root rot. Ideal temoeratures for res water is in the upper 60's and anything over 72 or so is asking for trouble IMO. Others say even colder. I controlled the temp of my res by controlling the ambient temp. Try to bring it down 5 degrees or so to 75. Your plants like that temp better too.

Hey Tybud- I'm telling you it's the Hydrohut... Don't waste your time or money with it anymore. It seems that there was a shipment of huts this year tht have been faulty for everyone. People who have knockoffs or older versions of the huts have not had the same problems. The guys at the Hydro store where I bought it confirmed this with the makers of the Hydrohut- who have since discontinued the huts made by the supplier of the faulty huts. I was just like you in the sense that I thought it was something I was doing wrong and did not want to admit that it was the hut. I made a makeshift room with black and white panda paper and although it's not as aesthetically pleasing as the hut, it works like you would not imagine. Five months with the Hydrohut yielded me zero. Two and half months with my new set up has yielded about a pound and half. Growing is not rocket science, and if you go in that direction, you need to take two steps back and ask yourself why.

I'm not Dr.G, but I can tell you that if you want to control the smell, you need an in-line fan and charcoal filter. You can pick one up from the Hydro shop. For controling the temp, you might want to get a hood with a fan connection so that the heat is sucked up and sent through the filter. Also, you might want to look at growing with a 600w or 400w light as they generate significantly less heat, and you can keep them cloer to your tops. So, I would say avoid the hut at all costs- literally. I read somewhere that huts where like fake boobs- they look good, but they just don't do what they're supposed to do. ![]()

![]() | Quote: No Tybud... Those don't look very good. As small as they are, they should be green without any yellowing at all. All the extra humidity stuff is unecessary if you control the temp and run a fan. You are doing way too much and unfortunately you're listening to some bad advice. People might have good intentions, but you should just keep it simple... Plus, Dr.G's set up looks wayyy cluttered and just overall un-zen. You should be looking to create a sustainble environment that is clean and clutter free. Not to say that the plants won't grow, because I've seen some Ghetto set ups that produce giants, but you want to learn and produce in a good an healthy environment.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I was trying to be encouraging as there is nothing that can be done. (Well other than to leave them alone.)
