hey all, Ive been suffering through spider mite hell for several cycles, its been an ongoing war of attrition...both sides have sustained losses, but it's time for me to finish it if possible. My first question: has anyone used lady bugs? I dropped 1500 of em in the grow area two days ago...if they are effective, for this run, which is currently 10 days or so into flower, they are going to be the method I utilize...I figured dropping 1500 every 2-3 weeks should at least help. The mites are pretty firmly entrenched but due to impending moving I had no choice but to flip to 12/12. (Im only going to get 7 weeks of flower as is unfortunately...I should be able to give em a few days of darkness to finish though, hopefully it works out OK.) However, I would like to move on to Avid...but I dont have unlimited resources. I cant find any abemectin product for less than $250-ish on ebay...does anyone know where I could get a smaller quantity? I dont really need 5+ years worth of the stuff. If anyone has a site or knows somewhere where it could be picked up in the SF or the East Bay area please pm me... I tried to search for the answers to my questions, but I cant get the search tab to open up for whatever reason...so Gracias Amigos! ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks Buzz, youre the commander in chief of the anti-mite forces! ![]() EDIT: on further examination I found a couple of small quantities of avid on Ebay for $25-ish shipped. Any experience with lady bugs anyone? I would still be curious to hear how theyve worked for people. Last edited by Prophit; 11-29-2007 at 12:34 PM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ladybugs are not very effective against mites. They are hell on aphids. Predator mites would be the critters to use if you want to try a biological control. Avid will kill them dead in their tracks. ![]()
