![]() | im glad that my sprout isnt stretching or anything. but she is growing very slow. i got her under a 32w cool white CFL. shes in seedling starter soil. with vermiculite, perlite, sphagnum, peat moss and other unamed aditives. she is in a peat cup. the light is about 3 inches from the top. shes been growing for 5 days and isnt even an inch yet. shes got the codelydons and 2 very small fan leaves. is that normal? my light schedule is 20L/4D. so my question is should i switch it to 24/7L to speed up the growth? and would changing the light schedule have a negative impact on the sprout?

Welcome to GC!Im not too sure what you mean by 20L/4D? Is that like 20hrs on and 4hrs off? Go ahead and switch the lights to 18ON 6off - Make sure your dark periods are dark as possible. Im also not sure how often your watering and with what - so thats the best advice I can give ya with the info ![]() Fill out the nursery questionnaire (In my sig) for more detailed assistance ![]()

![]() | yes i mean 20 light and 4 dark. ive read at some sites that some people use 24/7 light on for faster growing...so wouldnt 20 liht / 4 dark be ok? i try not to water too much seeing as this is my first indoor grow. looks healthy but very small and fan leaves grow extremely slow. ive read that soft whites should be used for flowering. i cant find any daylight spectrum cfl bulbs, would a warm white 32 watt be better for vegetative?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | One thing to remember is don't overwater, will all the additives in that soil you shouldn't need to water for at least a week or more. Another thing to remember is that you want to keep your temperatures between 75°F and 85°F otherwise growth will be stunted. Babies are slow to grow in the beginning, but when they do, you will be amazed!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Depends on how much ventilation you have. A single plant doesn't need a wind tunnel for ventilation, just enough to pull in fresh air so it doesn't become started of CO2. A decent sized computer fan works great. Don't water a little bit at a time either. The roots won't be forced to find water and thus create a poor system. Water about half to a third the cups size (a gallon jug gets about a quart or 2) and let it be for a week. The roots will be forced to find the water, making them much larger, which in turn provides a better root system to absorb the water and nutrients for the plant. Also, no nutrients until at least week 2.
