Over fed Satori?
permalink

Guys my Satori clone (D) is looking a little wrinkly and "clawed", though very green, thats why I am wondering if it is slightly over fed with (N) These Satori's are nute savvy. Here is my answer sheet to the questionnaire. Much appreciated if you guys had any input! Argh trying to post some pics....just a sec

Soil Growers:
1. Are you growing from seed or clones? Clone
2. How old are your plants? 6 weeks
3. How tall are your plants? 8" H
4. What size containers are they planted in? 3 gallon
5. What is your soil mix? 3:1 FoxFarm Ocean/Perlite
6. How often do you water and what type of water do you use? When cnotainers are light. Reverse O water pH'd
7. What is the pH of your water? 6.53
8. What kind of fertilizer do you use and what is its NPK ratio? Earth Juice Grow/Bloom/Catalyst
9. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything? I had been lightly foliar feeding every other morning a light mix of 1 tsp Grow: 1 gallon of water. I feared over feeding so I stopped last week. I also had to foliar spray 2 days ago with pure Neem Oil as I spotted a few mites.
10. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights")400W HPS, (2) 2' T-5 CFLs
11. How close are your lights to the plants? 16" above
12. What size is your grow space in square feet? 2x2x4' grow cab.
13. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space? 81F/ 44%
14. What is the pH of the soil? 7.0
15. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space? I did see a few mites on lower leaves a few days ago, I immediatley foliar sprayed 1/2 tsp per qt. of pure neem oil, plus 1/2 of dish soap as an emulsifier. pH'd to 6.5 I havent seen any at all since.
16. How much experience do you have growing? 3yrs

See how dark green those lower leaves are? That's too much N. I would give them a flush and when you feed them next, up the Cal Mag

And also too much nitrogen can develop over a period of time because the watering process is not flushing away the nutrients. Redman..I would be the last to doubt your process since I have seen some of your grows but..During my last run I experienced the same symptoms and it turned out that I was too spare with the water..What drew me to the conclusion in your case was that I noticed that you are using a "perlite rich" soil mixture and so do I ..My plants were drinking like the pond was going dry..anyway I adjusted to day and a half waterings and wa-la..worked out very well..

Good Luck man

Ok just did a flush on her. I got a 5 gallon bucket filled with tap water. I added 5tsp of Flora Kleen clearing soultion (1 tsp per gal) and over about 30 minutes or so, watered in the full 5 gallons of water. By the last water can full, she was sitting in a tub of brownish water halfway up her pot. I also did a quick foliar mist of the water as well. She is now in draining, and waiting to go back in her room. Looks like hell now, but I bet by morning she looks a bunch better. I will report back tomorrow. Lets all spark one at 4:20 today for the Gardens Cure. Thanks guys!

They usually look like they have been riden hard and put away wet after a flush, but they respond faster to a flush than anything.

Keep us updated for sure, and good luck on the rest of your grow!
