Should I worry...

My plant is 1-2 weeks into flowering, I've see a few places where bugs or something have left small holes in the fan leaves. But when I checked on it this morning, something had eaten almost an entire leaf. I don't notice any bugs crawling on the plant really... occasionally a small moth.

What do you think?

Don't worry, but keep an eye on it. A little insect damage is not a problem. If the chewing is the result of caterpillars, there is a biological control called Bacillus thuringiensis. Best time to check for insect activity is in the early morning just before dawn. Caterpillars will also leave pellets (frass) behind as they eat and poop.

i'd release some lady bugs if you comfortable with them in your indoor space.
i did once to deal with aphids (filter your incoming air!) and they lived for a long on to police my space until the room was finally de-constructed.

Buzz....
No real need to treat a plant for bugs without knowing exactly what bug it is...

Neem oil is a natural oil from the Neem Tree grown in India. It is now very popular and can be found in many different products. You can also buy plain Neem oil and apply it in a spray bottle, 1 tblsp to 1gal of water with a tsp of dishwashing liquid soap. I use warm water and shake shake shake to disperse the oil and then spray, keeping it suspended with shaking.

It forms a protective barrier on the leaves and is supposed to offer a systemic benefit as well. I consider it a prophylactic in my garden.

If you do a search on Neem Oil you will get all kinds of information. It is an organic product that can be sprayed on your plants weekly.

Good luck to you.

Peace- OD

id say its better to get the extract rather than premixed spray. its about twice as much, but will last 90 percent longer. i found some at every small local nursery and at lowes. the smell of it reminds me of oranges. i love it. i use it on my outdoor plants every 2-3 days.

Call around, the price varies widely. If you have a grow show near by they might have it but most nurseries have it. Tell them you want it for your roses.
It works great on roses, no disease at all on the leaves when using Neem oil.

The product is called Pure Neem Oil. Small white plastic container with a black label. You can buy as little as 4 oz container.

Make some tobacco tea, spray the leaves and around the pots. Do so every week until a week before harvest. Do not spray the week before harvest, so that the nicotine can degrade, you do not want to be smoking cigs do you. Unless of coarse you already do smoke, in that case, spray all you want.
