Man am I ever kickin myself in the damn ass. I decided to use this fert with 0.1% chlorine in it! Now that I've done some research I've found that levels of chlorine above 140 parts per MILLION are going to be bad for a lady. So is there anything... anyway I can save my baby? Shes just starting to flower and I'd hate to see her go by my own stupidity. What a way to go... I know people in the city have issues with this because of their water being treated but it seems it would be at a much smaller level. What would you guys do? Please tell me theres something I can do. I'll try just about anything. thanks a million.

![]() | Leave the water sitting out 24 hours before you water so the chlorine evaporates. Or is it the soil that's the problem? Transplant could be the answer^ Filtering your water wont be a bad thing either >_>

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Don't panic! in fact....forget about the issue... I regularly run chlorine levels at 200 to the 250 range with absolutely no impact due to my calcium source be'in calcium chloride. Do like he stated and let you water set so the chlorine that will evaporate do so. ![]() pi

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm with scooterpie on this one. ![]() But the chloride won't do much evaporating. At what rate are you using the .1% chlorine fert? have you figured the ppm added by your dose?

Its the soil thats the issue, I actually just transplanted into soil that has .1% chlorine, among other things, fertalizer mixed in with it. Its not my water I'm concerned with. I have well water. It probably still wouldn't hurt to let it sit out.. but thats not my major concern here at all. Its the soil and fert containing .1 chlorine. Its the first time I've used this fert and today was the first day so I have no way of judging the effects yet. I'm really hoping you guys are on the same page as I am and I have to do nothing. That would be most excellent. So what would one do if they did run into a gigantic chlorine toxic mess? I think I may need to transplant again into different soil or if you guys understood my first post correctly then nothing at all which would be awesome because the fertalizer is great besides the fact of the chlorine. But then again maybe the chlorine isn't even an issue? Answer me this... would you use a fertalizer containing 0.1% chlorine in soil and have a plant survive it? Enjoi it? Die from it? thats what I'm getting at. thanks a bunch for the posts guys and gals. Last edited by deadhead258; 08-22-2008 at 09:17 PM.. Reason: spaced out

![]() | I sure hope you're right scooterpie. Some of the leaves are turning yellow, which I know is normal for a flowering plant, but they all look a little more yellow this morning. I think the yellow color is trademarked by crayola "All In Your Head Yellow". I'm pretty sure everythings going to be alright as well but anyone with any encouraging input should definatley put there two cents in.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Chlorine is an essential element in plants. Chloride salts are commonly used in fertilizers. As scooterpie said, cannabis is quite tolerant to relatively high chlorine doses.

![]() | Also .. I believe I have "hard" or "soft" water. Its the kind of water that needs to be ran throuhg a system a system that involves big giant salt shards. Should I still leave my water sitting out for a day or two before watering or am I just being a total paranoid pothead here? THANK YOU QUANTRILL! Actually I really can't thank all of you enough.
