I was just reading that ammonium toxicity is most common is acidic soils.

"In severe cases (of nitrogen toxicity), leaves turn a brownish-copper color, dry, and fall off."

It also says it will result in smaller, more sparse flowers.

You might actually have a nitrogen overdose, due to the low PH water?

The resulting high nitrogen levels could lock up needed magnesium (in which R.O. water is already lacking), and the ammonium form found in the acidic enviornment is much "quicker to assimilate" than the nitrate form generally more prevelant in alkaline soils.

What this means is:

Adjust the PH to a more acceptable level, as you have. Props.

dyna-bloom does that. and some sativa strains start early necrosis in flowe, especially beginning by week 5 IMO. But as long as it's your fan leaves are crisping/yellowing/falling off and not your buds/flower losing their green/turning brown this is an acceptable range of necrosis. How much % of the individual leaf is crisping? does the yellowing/crisping take the whole leaf until it falls off or leaves half the leaf green? just trying to figure the degree of occurence w/out pictures

and I think dyna-bloom intensifies this effect
I went through a whole flower with the whackiest sativa but still had a solid harvest

45 to 50% of individual leaves are crispy/dead. The yellowing/crisping takes the whole leaf until it falls off. I know,I'm sorry I don't have pics. I know how much that helps. Here's what I'm thinking. My soil is a little on the chilly side, along with (until recently) a Ph of 4 equals super acidic water with no way to feed off the nutes I'm giving her. So I guess I just get some Ph up and maybe some Just Magnesium?

It sounds more like it's needing more Nitrogen still at that time in flowering, and more along the line of more nutrients are needed.

Got any pictures you can post up of the plants??

Happy Growing

Mg assists in the up take of nitrogen, I would go for PH adjustments and Cal/Mag treatments to the water first off, in 1/2 dose first and see if there is any improvement.
