One plant yellowing from the bottom
permalink

I thought it was from having no nutes at first but wouldn't all my plants be experiencing the same problems?

Same with the PH.

One plant the leaves are just kinda yellowing from the bottom up gradually over the days. They are only 2-4 weeks old so I'm not sure they need ferts because the 2 of them are the same age but one is doing worse.

Yellowing of the leafs is usually caused by N deficiency. It's not necessary that all plants would have the same problems (even if they are in similar conditions). So i guess try to procure some N and give it to them, that should cure them/her. If am mistaken somebody will surly correct me sooner then later

When I have a high PH my leaves curl up on the whole length of the leaflets. When my ph is too low they yellow with tacoing leaves.

I agree, I think your plant is hungry.

I agree with Lou.....First thing you should always do before trying to correct any kind of deficit is check the ph.....ph problems can disguise themselves as all sorts of deficiencies. Good luck!

Alley, had advised him to use some nutes two weeks ago but it seems he never did, so yes his plants are definitely hungry, but before he feed his MG soil he should do a ph test just in case he has a lock out.

Correct ph for soil will be 6.5, MG starts at 6, so its very easy to make it alkaline if you're giving it tap water that most likely is around 7.5 for a month.

If he had used nutes when Alley told him so, right now he will just been experience a slight burn instead of yellowing.

Thats my from what I have gathered so far, from the 120 threads that he started.

Hey, some of us, do read you know.

ps: matt, 6.8 was a misconception of the 70's, new studies have shown that 6.5 its the ultimate overall ph level.
At 6.8 you missing Mn and Fe.

Yep, I was thinking that after I posted. When my PH was too high, it didn't get up high enough to yellow, just to curl up. Your right.

When I used MG soil though, my PH was 5.8-6.0. But, it could be either way, and without a pic its kinda hard to determine.
