You do stand some chance with them going outside unless they are just too infested. Natural predators will manage them to some degree.
I've never used any treatment on unrooted cuttings, and have no idea how they would respond.

Gwen,
Those Dahm Mites will destroy your girls!!! As your plants primary protector YOU must find the right stuff to KILL EM!!!
I had an infestation of caterpillars and Neems oil would not kill them, I tried a "Safer" bug spray next, and still no help. I had to go with a much stronger Stuff to kill the caterpillars.
The nursery had a spray for "Leaf Miners" that finally killed em.
It did not seem to harm the clones,( they were about 2 weeks old). the clones did well after I got rid of the bugs...

I read the Safer's site and that End All stuff is pyrethrins and insecticidal soap. The good thing is that you can hose them with this stuff and it won't harm your plants.

You might mix up a bucket of solution and try dipping them all. Pick them up by the plug, hold them upside down and just dunk them. Be sure to spray the soil and then move themto a clean tray as you treat each one.

Also, pick up a squeeze bottle and some diatomaceous earth. Carefully fill the squeeze bottle (I use a honey bear bottle) with the DE and use it to dust the soil under your plants and lightly dust the foliage. Rinse it off after a half a day.

Between the pyrethrin spray and the DE, you should be clean. DE is virtually inert, but rather relies on very sharp crystals to mechanically slice up the little bitches. Don't inhale this stuff.

yup, love those strips! they will kill the mites but you have to allow 12 or so days, so that you get the next wave of hatchlings too.

when they're that young or in veg, it's easy enough to just dunk them in water for a bit. although that's not a permenent fix, and I don't know how you'd dunk unrooted clones.

if they're rooted, maybe try just setting the tray in the bath tub and let it soak until it sink under and let it sit there. I don't know how long it takes before the mites either bugger off or die, but it doesn't hurt to leave em in there for a few minutes. I've had a clone sit in a bucket of water that I tossed and looked at the thing a day and a half later and it was still viable.

they need to breath. drown the fuckers

Good morning,

If my plants are "dirty" aka buggy when I take clones or sometimes I don't even have to see them as "dirty" I hold the entire plant upside down "Dipping" into a sink filled lukewarm water bath of Dawn "blue" dishsoap.
Allow the plants to drip dry for about 30 minutes then hold under the shower sprayer in the bathtub to rinse and dry before cutting clones.. I've never had or seen a problem using this method and use it every time I take cuttings..

When I used to work for an Azalea nursery they'd always take cuttings and drop them into a 55 gallon plastic garbage can filled with cold water and a cleaning/disenfactant aggent for several minutes before planting into flats.. I don't remember what the product was called they used but, it seemed to work good for what we were growing.. Of course not mj

Have a Great day and good luck
