Hey Guys, Hope you can help identify this problem so I can take immediate action!

I took clones 2 weeks ago, and overall they were doing fairly well. I lost a bunch of them because I didn't open the tops of the dome, but other than that they're rooted well and showing new growth.

Yesterday I gave them a flush feeding of root juice along with some foliar spray of Superthrive B1, the usual. But this morning a bunch of them are keeling over, and have these white blotches on the surface of the leaves. There is also some webbing, which looks different from spider mite webs. Its white and unorganised.

Could it be mold? Another type of bug? Should I leave the dome lid on or air them out? Should I flush them with water?

Hopefully you guys can answer a couple of these questions. Thanks

I'll post pics in another post, its not letting me load them

Giant Spider!

As I was looking through the clones, I found a normal sized spider! Like a regular house spider! I hope the white blotches aren't its eggs, or else I'm looking at quite the infestation. I killed the spider and put the lid back on, if they are eggs, maybe I can trap them in the container instead of having a bunch of free roaming spiders in my other rooms. Crap.

I can tell you right away that those are not spider eggs. Most spiders make one egg sac at a time (sometimes more if there's alot of food) and said egg sac wouldn't cause any damage to your plants at all.

I'm betting that the spider was eating whatever is on those leaves. Personally I would air it out, and hit the plants w/ soap and remove the most damaged leaves(assuming its not all of them).

Looks like you have spidermites as well. the soap should take care of them. have you tried to scrape off the white splotches?

I can't tell from that first picture but looks like theres lil black spots on there. Can you see them crawling around on that web? if so, spider mites is very likely....

... the other 2 shots of the white spots look like a fuzzy fungus and if in fact it is fungus/mildew it would mean the humidity is high and spider mites don't thrive in high RH.

I believe it would be best to go out and get a fungicide/miticide. I think Safer Soap is made for both, check em out, I've found them at regular super markets a few dollars cheaper than the hydro store. $5-7 for a lil all-in one spray, not the aerosol spray though those are really strong, especially on clones IMO.

I agree with bloody about taking the dome off and cutting the damaged leaves only after you tried to see if the stuff will come off with, say, a Q-Tip.
Good Luck.

Bit better

I'm pretty sure the white stuff was mold. I took the lid off for a while and left the openings on the lid open. There was less mold growth, but still a bit. I think I left them in the tray too long, its way past time to transplant them.

About the spidey mites, I know they're bad, but I wanted to wait till the plants were more established before spraying them. It was a pretty bad infestation, and Neem oil just wasn't cutting it. Now I alternate between Neem oil and insecticidal soap and its working like a charm

thanks for the replies, Hopefully most of these little guys can be salvaged.
