So geez, I had 2 surviving clones from my White Widow or Super Ice. (Had 4 originally, cups clearly labeled. Only 2 survived and when I transplanted them I forgot to re-label. duh.) They were doing fine in my improvised cloning chamber, an aquarium covered with plastic wrap to keep humidity up, lit by 3 CFLs. This is on the other side of the house from the grow room, not near any doors leading outside. Never saw any bugs there, maybe the odd housefly. I just finished my previous grow, and did a major scrub down of growroom. Made new soil mix a couple days ago and put it in all new pots (except one, that one scrubbed with bleach solution) for next grow, moved pots into clean grow room. 2 days after that, I moved my 2 clones into growroom to start seriously vegging. Yesterday I noticed a bit of leaf chewed on both clones. Looked them over and saw no bugs. Today I go to check things, major damage! The smallest clone had been topped and had another bunch of leaves chopped at stem, more leaves chewed, only 4 tiny leaves left. Bigger clone also lost a bunch of leaves but has more left. This time I find 6 small "caterpillars" on small clone and 4 on big one! All pulled of by hand, plants majorly inspected, and foliage rinsed in stream of water from tap. The biggest "caterpillar" of all I recognised from outdoor gardening when I used to grow tomatoes, a fucking cutworm! I will keep a close eye on these, make sure no more appear. I can see how I might have carried in 1 or 2 from outdoors, but how did I get 10? Off to do some Googling about them now, but if anyone has quick info on cutworms, I'd appreciate it!
