I did same, burnt tin cans in a drum of rain water; decant and feed to roots. not foilar. i threw in a few burnt nails with the wood ash i put in soil mix this run; no iron def problems. [till i froze the pots and locked out lol] The thread is 'iron deficincy', Illegal Seed, january 2009. plant Nursery forum i mention DELTA'S Raw salts for Dummies thread; highly recommend this. best wishes nigel
