2 early for ferts?
permalink

my plants are about 2.5 weeks old.
approx 10 cm high
i have 6 plants altogether atm in a 4feet long by 35cm wide and 55cm high.

Lighting is 35watt blue fluro 4 feet in length and a flood light with a 150 watt globe.
i have 2 fans one at each end. one for intake and the other for outake.

ive got some ferts called "multicrop fish emulsion"
I have made up a 10 litres of the solution in a bucket
i was wondering if it is to early for just putting the mixture in a spay bottle and misting the plants once or twice a day.
As this is my 1st grow i dont want to just go doing what i think is best.
any addvice much appreciated
thanks

Good time to start ferts, but I doubt it will help

I start my ferts about 20 days from seed. So you should be just about ready now. Use them at very low concentrations, about 1/4 the normal strength and work your way up. I don't recommend spraying them on the plants directly, but rather add them to your water.

Your big problem though is lights.... you don't have enough for even a small garden. You need to be at about 3000 lumen per square foot as a bare minimum and ideally around 6-7000 for some real buds. In your area, you would want ideally around 25,000 total lumens, a 250w hps should provide that... or being that your grow space is rectangular, 2 - 150w hps's might give you better coverage.

My best advice is, go to home depot and buy some lights man...

Peace,

I've had problems with the fish emulsion, I would definetly dilute 1/4 tsp per gallon. Hope it helps.

Leaves dried up and started brown/copper spots that eventually got crisp and died.

That's what over foliar feeding will do.
