OK folks, I need your help. I've attached a pic of the leaf & of the plant as a whole. I'm baffeled because this is only happening on 1 of the 3 plants I'm growing. She is a more sativa pheno than the other two - taller & skinnier leaves. This is on the middle & lower fan leaves.

Hydro Growers:
1. Are you growing from seed or clones? seed
2. How old are your plants? 6 weeks
3. How tall are your plants? 16" after some bending
4. What type of hydro system are you using? Hempy buckets
5. What brand/type of nutrients are you using? GH 3 part
6. What is the Ph of your nutrient solution? 6.0
7. What is the PPM/EC of your tap water? n/a
8. What is the PPM/EC of your nutrient solution? see below
9. What is the temperature of your nutrient solution? n/a
10. Does your PPM/EC show a rise or fall when you do your daily PPM check? n/a
11. Does your pH show a rise or fall when you do your daily check? n/a
12. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything? no
13. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights") 600W MH
14. How close are your lights to the plants? 1 foot
15. What size is your grow space in square feet? 9 square feet
16. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space? 69 degrees & 77 % RH
17. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space? no
18. How much experience do you have growing? 3 years

They're getting fed: per 1 gallon of RO water, 10 ml Grow, 7 ml Micro, 5 ml Bloom & 10 ml Cal-Mag.

My first guess by looking and not reading was Calcium def. But you're using cal-mag, so scratch that. Ph looks good. GH 3 part ratios look good.

Blue, where did you pull that leaf from? Top bottom or middle? OR is is all over the fan leaves.

BC,

I know I always come to growers with this same old horse, but I swear i see some mg deficiency there.

Perhaps this pheno is hungrier for the old mg than others?

analog - I pulled that leaf from the middle, but the lower fan leafs are doing this too. The upper fans leaves are curling slightly. The curl started about a week ago & my grow rooms are famous for low humidity, so I added the humidifier.

The spots however started yesterday, so who knows if they'll attack the upper fan leaves.

Pesi - I thought magnesium too, that's why I'm using cal-mag at twice the usual doseage of 5 ml per gallon.

Thanks Quantrill!

I'm using MagiCal (again I'm at the mercy of what my hydro store carries, but I bet the competition has Cal-Mag Plus). MagiCal is 2% nitrogen, 3.25% calcium, 1.25% mg and 0.11% iron.

I use Dyna-Gro's liquid Pro-Tekt for pH up and I add 3 or 4 eye droppers full - maybe 3 or 4 ml.

i would say your plant is hungry for more Calcium and Mg. try raising the ph a bit??? maybe a point or two. IS this the only plant in the grow doing this?

Thanks for stopping by freak. Yeah, this was my only plant doing this, but I noticed some spots on another plant today.

I'm already adding 10 ml per gallon of RO water of MagiCal. I'm on the verge of burn - a couple of leak tips are hooking down.

I'll try a foliar feeding 3x a day with epsom salt & see if that helps.

I just watered them today, but tomorrow I think I'll mix up a gallon of RO with 15 ml MagiCal and give it to them & see what happens.

Even with the Cal-mag addition something is awry if they're showing
what looks to be cal-mag deficiencies. The rust spots (calcium) and
twisting (ph, or Mg) in theory shouldn't be happening which makes me
think about the Grow-Micro-Bloom GH ratios. Even the Lucas formula,
which omits the Grow entirely, usually does not lead to cal-mag defs
as there is supposed to be enough in the Micro itself.

If you're wanderng closer towards a burn, I would reco dropping the Grow
down substantially and have at least as much Micro as the Grow.

Have you always had to add a few ml of pH up? I rarely have to use it and
even then just a few drops.

Hi analog! Yes, I've always had to add pH up as the pH of my RO water is about 5.7 and then the nutes bring it down further.

Yeah, I've dropped the amount of micro once. I think you may be onto something; I'm considering dropping the grow all together.

Flowering is on the horizon (within the next week or so) and I generally use the Lucas formula for flowering.

Think next feeding I ought to try 0-5-10 with 10 ml of MagiCal?
