I think both Burndt and Buzz have offered a valuable . Although
I don't think over feeding specifically is necessarily your problem. It is also
possible to get leaf burn with Steer manure tea.

Here's my Take it for what it's worth

Aside from your steer manure compost tea and/or fertilizer regiments.

What does your soil medium consist of? I believe your roots are as you feared
compacted and literally are being deprived of oxygen. You're
slowly asphyxiating your plant via the root system.
You need better aeration and drainage. Perlite, Pumice or Volcanic rock or
Rocks in general would help the situation in my opinion.

I'd transplant it into a proper pot (something intended for gardening)
with balanced consistent soil mix and drainage.

It's evident to me by one look at your leaves and soil. Your plant is holding
too much water and it has no choice because the soil isn't well drained nor
aerated.

White is the worst colour for a pot next to clear it's easy for light to permeate which isn't good
for the roots and not good for the plant.

Hold off on compost tea or anything other than plain H20 once transplanted
into more appropriate media.

If you are rebellious to my advice and want to use compost teas. Use regular compost,
vermicompost ( worm castings ) or Mushroom manure instead of Steer. They're not as hot
and don't need to decompose as much before use like animal manures do.All are high in
Humic Acid which helps uptake of the available nutrients. Kelp in the tea would help as well
once transplanted. Nothing heavy in N-P-K.

Hope this helps.

the plant is in regular dirt and i believe top soil i dug it out of a garden. ii went around the edges of the bucket with a pick type thing and loosened up the soil pretty good. and if i transplant it it will still be compacted i dont get how that will help.and if i use rocks as drainage i just layer the bottom of the pot or bucket with rocks?

A layer of rocks in the bottom of the pot will not help improve drainage. The Myth of Drainage Material in Container Plantings

Your soil is unsuitable for healthy growth in a container. The best method for improving drainage with the soil you have on hand is mixing perlite into it.

do i just churn the dirt around the plant to put perlite into it. also where can i get perlite and instead of perlite what else can i use can i use those little red volcanic rocks that people put into there yard.

oh and if i need to put it in different soil then how is that even possible cause u cant expose the roots so how are u suppose to put it into new soil
