Can you kill fungus infection once it becomes systemic?
permalink

Hi

I've had an awful year. I've lost grow and grow due to fungal infection. At firstI didn't want to believe it was fungal, but since I've been growing for years in soil with no problems and I haven't changed my practices, the only option left is fungal infection. It does make sense actually because I have had an ongoing fungal infection on my head which I've been trying hard to get rid of but which has persisted.

What I want to know is this.

I have some clones from my current crop (which is nearly all dead 5 weeks in) and I can see on the clones the fungal infection already starting to eat away at some of the leaves.

If I use systemic fungicides, will I be able to get rid of the fungal infection in these clones?

At the moment I am thinking about scrapping the current grow, getting rid of the clones and then meticulously cleaning with bleach and fungicides the grow room and all the equipment used in the grow room and starting from scratch with new seeds.

Has anyone any experience in dealing with fungal infection problems and what might I do to resolve the problem?

Thanks
Oscli

I like to use GreenCure fungicide from H & I Agritech at least once a week as a preventitive maintance type thing.

It sounds unlikely for you to be able to fix your issues. Why not try sething though?

Ever since becoming a responsible grower I have not had any issues.

Until you identify the fungus, if it is a fungal disease, there's not much to advise you. Many systemic fungicides are not available to someone without a pesticide license. Some systemic fungicides have a very long half life, and they would not be safe to use on Cannabis. Systemic fungicides are not always effective at controlling fungal diseases that are well established in the plant tissue.

Here's a link to some common fungicides available over the counter.

You have to find out what it is before trying to treat it.
