permalink

Well I know I have started a lot of threads lately but I am not getting the answers I am looking for. I just got a better camera so hopefully these pics will do justice. So based on the following info and the pictures, Does this plant look burned? I am just worried that it's going to die. I guess I need a little reassurance please.

3. How tall are your plants? 1-2 inches.
4. What type of hydro system are you using? DWC.
5. What brand/type of nutrients are you using? Botanicare Pure Blend.
6. What is the Ph of your nutrient solution? 6.0
7. What is the PPM/EC of your tap water? 225
8. What is the PPM/EC of your nutrient solution? 630.
9. What is the temperature of your nutrient solution? 71.7
10. Does your PPM/EC show a rise or fall when you do your daily PPM check? Rise.
11. Does your pH show a rise or fall when you do your daily check? Fall.
12. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything? Nothing.
13. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights") Three 26 Watt CFL's
14. How close are your lights to the plants? 7-8 inches.
15. What size is your grow space in square feet?
16. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space? 73 degrees with 42% RH.
17. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space? Nope.

man you must have the worst luck with cameras

as I have said, if you have never grown, buy some canna soil and try that guy in the soil. hydro is not for beginners as hydro goes fast. if you want to learn hydro continue on, I'm also baised against hydro..

so looks like calcium or spotting can occur from PH being off before a lockout.

potassium can be spotting, and your middle leaf looks like its starting..

P can also cause spotting but most are burns..

EDIT: the more I look at it the more it looks like P def. hard to see though and the plant is so small

they look good
might lower the pH a hair
Pure Blend Pro is an organic...you probably aren't burning anything
it's got calcium and so does your hard water
use r/o to top up or you keep adding calcium to you res
the calcium acts as a buffering agent and raises the pH closer to 7

I really wouldn't do anything ...cept maybe bring the lights in closer
I keep an 8" gap to a 100W flouro....you could cut down to 4"

Most nutrient burn results in burnt tips or overly dark leaves. Some other burn signs, but those are the most common two. You have to really go overboard to burn more than the tips.

^ no its:

N nitrogen P phosphrous K potassium ...

not all bottled nutes will take care of every plants needs, all plants are different and might want different things. I had two mental floss and one had bad mag problems, and the other was perfectly fine....

EDIT: maybe Im not understanding you, you mean I said P instead of K ? or you mean K causes spots?
