11. Does your pH show a rise or fall when you do your daily check? rise
12. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything? no
13. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights") three 26 watt cfls

Hey man, what are you looking to find out exactly? To be honest, your plants don't look that bad. I've seen my plants go to hell and back. Right now I'm finally stablizing things. I have one that is completely drooped, leaves look almost dried up, yet still green. I have a couple others that have more burn than your worst pics, yet they are still pushing on.

Sure your plants have some minor deficiencies, nothing that can't be cured with a some hours spent researching. Usually most of the signs we see on our leaves or in our plants can be corrected by adding the proper nutrients and as you already have a decent understanding of how pH affects ppm and vice versa, which I had no clue until you mentioned it. You are doing fine, just keep everything as close as you can to optimal levels.

This is your first time doing Hydro. How many grows do you have under your belt in total? You must know there is always a learning curve involved.

I would make this run specifically for learning purposes.

If I could show you pics of my ladies, you would probably relax big time. And yet, I'm still here making it work. Wait till your plants droop, wilt and appear to be on strike, never to come back to work again. That's devastating.

Looks like it is time to start feeding them some nutes.

Use GH flora series nutes. I think they are hungy now

Well I have Botanicare Pure Blend Pro. I was feeding them but due to the fact I saw my PPM increasing like crazy, I figured they didn't need the nutes. Based on the pictures, do you think I should go full strength? Also according to the pics, would it be considered in full vegetative stage now?

Im new to hydro as well. Trying a first time go with Hempies as we speak.

Im not 100% on anything with soiless grows yet but im inclined to think that pesci is onto somthing when he says they need nutes.

Thats what the spotting is on the litte lower leaves.

However, like others have said.. I dont think they look so bad that they are in jeopardy. Theyll be just fine. You just need to feed them a little.

As far as the veg/bloom goes; Thats all dependent on your light cylce.

If they are getting more than 14 hrs. of light a day, than chances are, yes, they are still in full vegatative stage.

If you want them to bloom youll have to reduce light hours to 13 or less. Most use 12/12.

Yeah I can't see blooming this yet. I want it to get bigger. It is on an 18/6 light schedule. But alright I will start adding nutes and go from there. Oh one more thing, if anyone knows. Should I go full strength? Thanks guys.

Use your common sense, grasshoppah...

How do they look to YOU? Do they look hungry?

Feed them according to how they look, not some dogmatic menu that you follow blindly.

The plant always tells you how it's doing.

p.s. you should start a journal and keep all your questions and answers in one place

Again, this is my first run with any hydro so i wont be the one to say for sure.

I am using full strength nutes on mine.

Im going per instructions on the GH Flora series schedule. They seem to be using it all up just fine.

I dont know anything about Botanicare nutes. I dont know anyone personally that uses them so i cant say.

When in doubt... start at lower dosages and work your way up to see how they react.

Rule of thumb i always went by in the past with soil was, the more light they receive, the more nutes they are capable to using completely.

Mine go on 24/0 in veg, and i dont know your nutes, so.. i guess yeah, Id start at half strenth.

Maybe one of the guys in the hydro forum can shed some more light on this for you.

If nothing else i can capitalize on what ANALOG said. They will let you know.

Give them some nutes and if they can take more, go ahead. If they dont like it and dont want more, im sure they will let you know.

Everyone keeps telling me that the plants will tell me what they want and look for signs of "hunger." To be honest I have no idea what it looks like when it wants food or doesnt want it. In the past I would just throw some bagseed in some miracle grow outside and water now and again. So really I don't have a clue what a plant is supposed to look like when it needs nutes and when it doesnt need em. Nor do I know when I am feeding too much. Sorry I'm just a dumb noob.
