I failed to reattach the pump line after I flushed the buckets and cleaned the res. The plants went two days without a flood. The tips of the roots are dead, some of the fan leaves are yellowing, and some of the "hairs" are now orange/brown. I was running a pH'd water solution in order to cure the curling sugar leaves. I didn't see any real results and lifted the pots to see what was going on.... it was bone dry. I hooked the line back up and added superthrive but....well, you knw. I haven't found much info on this. Apparently people don't usually make such bonehead mistakes. Dh, always urbane, is being awfully forgiving of the wife that probably just accidently killed his friends. I wasn't gonna smoke 'em but I was sure enjoying growing them. ![]() I'll grab some pics in a few...

![]() | Thanks All, I thought going easy on them would be prudent. Here are some pics. The overhead looks okay, the roots however.... Worst roots: Best roots: Tops: Last edited by Ganja Patiwan; 08-28-2009 at 09:31 PM.. Reason: To many pics

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | IMHO if you take it easy and bring them back over the next week or so all should be ok. Nice grow. BTW we all make stupid mistakes. ....some share them and some dont.

![]() ![]() | I'd run straight ph'd corrected water for a 1-2 days to and make sure that the roots get healthy again. Then I'd steady increase nutes back to the original plan over 1- 1.5 weeks. They'll strip the nutes from their leaves and the roots will revive with the straight water. After that if you don't add too much nutrients they'll slowly go back to normal. TLC is all it is. ![]()

![]() ![]() | Remember after the first few days of that straight water or flush to get them back to normal to use new water with the nutrients. That old water has got that nasty brown decaying shit floating around that you want to get rid of that died from the roots.

Well, Things didn't take a turn for the worse overnight. I think the roots are already beginning the breakdown process; there is a slight iridescent sheen on the top of my res solution. I'm going to change it out and clean it again today. I was thinking they probably couldn't be saved (we are 4 weeks into flower) when I posted this. The feedback makes me think we have a good chance so I probably need to ask a mod to move this to the nursery. What do you all think about using hygrozyme? I am two hours away from the only hydro store open on Sunday but I could drive out, or I could pick it up nearby tomorrow if you think it is necessary.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Personally think you would be fine without any enzymes but they won't hurt and if they give you peace of mind then go ahead. Just ease the ppms back up over a few days to avoid shocking/burning them. And cut yourself some slack. Most of us have made mistakes as bad or worse...whether we admit it or not, that is another story ![]()
