Im kindof new to these fourms, been on and off reading about growing outdoors, and all that fun stuff. Well today ive decided to post becuase i have a bug problem on my current outdoor setup. Is a NL clone, and its in a 5g bucket. I recently had 5 other plants about 5months old, but some kids in the neighborhood stole them :*( very upset still. Anyways, these bugs are Very very small and White, almost look completely round, like circles, and there are little black bugs also. I think the white bugs are doing the damage, they are leavin these white patches in my leafs, and a few actually have holes in them. I dont have a camera to post pics atm but i will soon. I also have heard somewheres that if i put cigarette butts in a spray bottle of water and spray my plants down that it will kill the bugs, sounds too good to be true, but i tried it anyways. Can sumone outthere please tell me sum way to get rid of bugs, this is the last of the stolen plants they didnt take, and i want a successful grow ANY feedback is MUCH appreciated -remark

tobacco is one serious pesticide-- it even kills humans! ahhahahahahah but seriously, if you are comfortable using tobacco, you're better of sacrificing a cig soldier or three and soaking only the tobacco in water for a day or so as a tea and use as a spray -- butts are nasty even when washed the nicotine is read to disrupt the buggers nervous system![]() P3n

![]() | Neem oil works well, but it is an oil, just keep that in mind. It is possible to suffocate and kill a small plant with neem oil. I know. You can also kill a mid-sized vegatative plant with a neem oil dip. I know that too. You can also screw up the roots if you apply too much too often to the soil (f'ing fungus gnats). I know that too. Neem oil is a great regimental product and it is good to use in cases like yours - just be careful with smaller plants (don't know how big yours is). It is also pricey. If you can't make it to the grow store to pay $20-$30 for Einstein neem oil, try Whole Foods, et al. I have found neem oil there for at least 1/4 the price. I would do something ASAP. Sounds like mites. No neem oil? Use your cig butts. Treat the entire room like it is infected, considering it sounds like you have mites. Mix a little bleach water and wipe everything down. Walls, floors, light hoods, side of pot, etc. Everything. Better safe than sorry with mites. EDIT: Oops. Outdoor you say. No walls or floors to wipe down. The rest holds true.Last edited by Cat Jockey; 08-29-2009 at 03:55 PM.. Reason: I don't know how to read | ||
