I do. Yesterday I went to feed the ladies, and found a couple of gnats. I slayed the gnats, cleaned the pond scum on the bottom of my drain trays (been lazy) I was assuming the gnats were there due to the algae and nute residue which was left from the evaporation. I cleaned them up, bleach sprayed them fed them and this morning I found another gnat. I've been useing AN's 3 part with Hygrozyme and just introduced some Cal Mag, in a passive hydro system useing hydroton in hempy style cups/pots. What would be the reason for this? I thought useing Hygrozyme was going to prevent this? Could this gnat be left over from whatever pond scum that was produced in the drain trays, that is now cleaned? A rogue gnat that was hiding from my wrath? I have this Flora Shield by GH, I used and half way murdered my plants. But I was thinking of useing thie FS to try to fix this, if I keep seeing these damn gnats... as a last resort. i don't really want to though. Thanks everyone.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Gnats are about the most common pest you can have. They dont need to be in your grow room, soil, or anything. The damn things could fly through your window screen if they wanted. And they are atracted to bright lights. Go outside at night, look at your porch light. Chances are there are hundreds of them flying around. Some probably just managed to find your plants. As for getting rid of them, gnatrol is good. Not sure how it will do with hydro though. | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks man, that was my second guess. I'm going to do some cleaning to see if that is the case. I noticed things begining to smell slightly, and not the good smells. I just wanted to make sure it didn't have anything to do with the roots or media.
