Bought a bag of FFOF a couple weeks ago and the other day i noticed these little bugs about the size of a needle point crawling in the soil. Hundreds of them and white. i dug into the soil and they were as far as i could go. My buddy who went with me to get the FFOF grabbed two bags aswell. We checked his plants yesterday and for sure there are the same bugs in his. We checked our seperate bags of soil and all three bags had them which is making me think wtf is going on with fox farms. wtf do i do about these little bastards knowing that i cant get new soil for a couple weeks. i was thinking about calling fox farms and demanding a product to deal with them, afterall there bag brought them into my grow room.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Were the bags totally sealed, or were they the type with little drainage holes in them? The bugs could have come from outside in the warehouse or something.... I don't want to guess what the bugs are unless you got pictures of them . Sucks to start off with an infestation!!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | EDIT= call FF first, if the soil hasn't been potted yet. They'll be more likely to help if you didn't use the soil yet. Otherwise, read on. Since the soil is already potted w/plants, I would try Neem oil with a DIY cinnamon / soap spray for the plants. You can Neem the soil and spray plants with Neem, too, if you want. Repeat every 2-3 days, for at least a few times. Neem or Cinnamon won't kill eggs sometimes, just the adults, so you need to get the just-hatched ones too. Other than that, much as I hate to suggest it, bomb the place with an insecticide, if the plants are far enough away from finishing. There's lots of people here that swear by one poison or another. Aside for pyrmethrin, I don't know which ones are good against all bugs.

![]() | If they wont replace or refund you can always kill the little bastards in the oven or micro. http://www.gardenscure.com/420/plant...king-dirt.html I had a bug problem a while back. It's a major PITA, god I hate bugs!!! I did manage to kill off all the bugs in one plant. I watered her with a very diluted mix of water and dish soap then flushed a few days later. The plant in the end didn't make it. Not sure if it was from that, it was a pretty wimpy plant to begin with tho.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | we dont even know what the bug is. we need to id the bug. secondly, i think the plants 2 to 3 weeks away should be fine. that's not really enough time for really small bugs to do a lot of damage. but, id think about disposing the dirt, once those are done. the ones in veg, it would be ideal to replant them into clean soil. my thought at this point is to remove as much of the tainted soil as possible. once we know what bug we are dealing with, then we can suggest a poison, if even necessary.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Id bet there was a hole somewhere. The local place that sells promix here keeps it outside. I check that thing top to bottom. Especially the cracks. Hope you can get rid of them.
