We've been battling PM for several weeks now. We did several sulfur burns in early flower and thought we had it taken care of. Now we're 4-5 weeks in flower with an incredible looking crop until the PM reared its ugly head again. There's just too much to cut it out at this point. What can we use this late into flowering? Is it possible to kill the PM at this stage or just slow it down? If we can get this crop through the rest of flowering how will it affect our harvest (other than reduced yeild)? Can we still use the bud? If not can we hash the crop? Any advice is welcomed. This is so frustrating....such a beautiful crop. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i know sulfur does not work. it still comes back, from what i have read, and people have reported using sulfur burning, and it still comes back, this is because sulfur burning is a control, not a cure. you could use neem oil or garden safe 3 in 1 "fungicide". but this is about as late as i would use that. it does knock it back, so if you hurry, this might be your best option, and i would get rid of any other plants that have it, if you can. (this means vegging mothers). clean up thoroughly and start over. im assuming this means 3-4 weeks or so left on the flowering ones, i wouldnt worry so much about those, since you will be harvesting them, (getting rid of them). if you have to keep the strain, then you will have to look into other methods, sprays. ive been reading meltatox(sp?) works. there is another spray that is supposed to be a cure, and i cant remember the name right now, but both sprays above mentioned have limited availability depending on state you are in. some states have banned it. so, buying online or physically going to the state that sells it might be an option. ill have to look up the other name of the other spray, but i dont have access to that information right now. but im not sure you can spray anything on them now, when was the last time the sulfur was used? i know that you cant use sulfur if you have used a neem oil based product in the past 30 days, but what about the other way around? i would think its the same, so you may have to wait at least 30 days between using sulfur/neem based product.

It will continue to be around until the environment is changed, i. e; add a small fan or get the temp down a little bit. Moving the air around more is key.

![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm also a victim of the powdery mildew. A few days ago, I first noticed a white blotch of what almost looked like dandruff. I didn't think too much of it and just brushed it off. I came to the conclusion after thinking about it is that it might be some kind of mold... Then I went in yesterday and there were spots taking form all over. Luckily they really werent that bad and after trimming off the infected areas, you couldnt even tell it was there. I know it'll come back sooner or later, but I'm 2/3 weeks away from flowering and I'm trying to just take control of it wih my dehuey and a fan put closer to these particular plants. Note to self though: California Orange Bud from Nirvana is susceptible to powdery mildew! Out of my 5 plants. My other 3 are indicas, grew 2 weeks longer in veg, and plenty more thick and they don't have a touch of it on them, while my nice open sativa Cali O somehow has a problem with it, with the humidity never going above 50% these last couple weeks. If the infection gets even the slightest bit bad again, I'm trying the milk method.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The 3 in 1 and the Organicide didn't do shit for my PM. I'm trying the milk right now. Yeah, what does PM do to the plants? Does it reduce the yeild? What else?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i agree the garden safe 3 in 1 doesnt do anything, as in cure but it keeps it back and in check, the longest out of all the sprays ive tried. and ive tried everything. even the milk spray, and that doesnt do shit either, in fact it can burn plants, and the neem oil spray does not (photo-toxicity). from what i see, the pm doesnt do much to the plant that you can discern just by looking at it, but with a really heavy infestation of pm, it will affect the plants ability to convert sugars and simply grow (because the pm covers the leaves, it draws out the nutrients from the plant, therefore the plant has to work harder to survive) luckly pm is an "outer" type mold, meaning, it isnt usually found "inside" the buds. usually its only on the larger fan leaves and some of the smaller, sugar trim leaf. if you can keep it back with a spray that works well, then you pretty much have it "controlled" but not "cured".
