I have the same exact thing happening on a plant of mine. It really tripped me out because the pistils showed up first then just recently I found male flower pods with pistils sticking out of them. Mine DID go through some stress so I am assuming that is why mine hermie'd.

What kind of stress? The only possible stress that mine could have endured would be a very minimal light leakage or pruning of the fan leaves. How many hermied?

It could also be possible that my temperatures are not consistent enough. How much does temperature fluctuation effect plant sex?

I had some pH and nutrient issues and high room temps (new room). I suppose a fluctuation in temperatures if severe enough could stress a plant out. Sometimes though just like people a plant will be born a hermie. That sucks that it was the only one that you got to germinate and grow. Lucky for me I had about 300 seeds that I made on another crop.

I had two plants go hermie and they are both from the same seedling momma. Needless to say the momma is going to die. She just cannot be trusted. If it was not stress it was her.

Good luck to you. Next time you order seeds (hopefully more than one will sprout) keep the males alive in a seperate room long enough to flower them for pollen (keep pollen off of the nicest male). That way you can pollinate a branch or two of your nicest female plant and have plenty good genetics laying around.

Thanks man that's a good idea. I don't really have another room to keep males in and id be afraid of pollen finding its way into the main room, but its something i might consider down the road. I pruned the lower branches of the Hindu Kush hermie real good and I don't see any new male parts. Im hoping the clones dont go hermie too.
