White spots on fan leaves?
permalink

Hello all i currently am on day 51 of my autoflower grow and am into late flowering. I noticed a white spot the other day on my fan leave and didnt really think anything of it because it was quite small. But then today a few other plans i noticed a couple of white spots. When i blew on the spot white powder came off. Anyone have any ideas?? I hope its not mold...

Search the site for powdery mildew. I have read about using neem oil, spraying hygrozyme, 1:9 milk:water solutions, I think rosemerry?

You may be too late in flower from what I have read, to really treat it.

Many ways to treat, but a question how is your ventilation?

People are like prevention is the key....once you get powery mildew... its like herpees for weed bros....you can maintain it but it wont totally disapper

your in flower...try Greeencure.....gives you 7-10 days inbetween treatments

milk.. h202....rosemary tea.... all work but after about 4-5 days the pw comes back

sulfur vapes work to but you dont want to use them the last 3 weeks of flower....if you spray the PM with any type of oil such as neem...dont use the sulfur vape for 3 weeks after oil treatment youll burn your leaves

Are you noticing the white spots more on the undergrowth or just all over the place?
Powdery mildew usually begins on the moist lower canopy before spreading.

A less common cause of white spots is guttation. Guttation occurs when a plant secrets moisture from it's leaf tips as a result of root pressure. When the moisture dries, it quite often leaves a white residue on the leaves. Guttation occurs usually just before lights on. It's totally harmless but the white residue left can be a sign of overfeeding but not always. You would find the residue on the leaf tips and edges only though and not on the middle surface of the leaf.

Lower your humidity and increase fan circulation to help prevent mildew.

When your grow is done, sanitize the hell out of everything in your grow space. Use bleach and rinse well. Good luck.

That looks like powdery mildew. You have to really stay on top of it or it'll take your whole crop. Keep knocking it down with a sulphur or neem-based spray. In order to prevent some nasty taste on your buds, I'd recommend dumping some out of the sprayer into a cup and applying it with a q-tip or small paintbrush on the affected areas. It will keep coming back, you'll have to do it every day until harvest. Then spray your growroom with bleach. Lots of bleach.

Good luck!

I wouldn't spray anything this late in flower. Remove the affected leaves. Be careful not to shake them when removing them. Don't throw them on the floor, put them in a plastic bag and take them out of the garden completely.

What if i just changed the conditions? Like i blast my airconditioner and make extra ventilation, so its really cold, will that prevent it from living/spreading?

Colder air is able to retain more moisture, which will raise your humidity...which will allow the fungi to thrive.

Bro its now in the plant itself

I gave a baby 3 week old to a freind to grow at his house....sprayed it out from clone on for weeks....no sign of pm what so ever.... he put it in flower after 4-5 weeks the pm showed up on some of the leaves...it was the only plant he grew....its a dieses that stays in the plant and is passed on to the young or clones

Fans only spread the spores....I run 35% humidity and will still see PM

Spray your plant up to the day of harvest with this..its organic and it works...Spot spray as needed morning hours GreenCure fungicide for curing and preventing powdery mildew, blights, molds and other plant diseases
