The top buds are probably more airy because they are closer to the source of heat, high temperatures cause airy buds (but thats also because its a sativa too)

you can indeed speed up the flowering cycle by taking the lights on hours down a bit

I've read some strains need to have less than 12 hours to flower, but thats obviously not your case.

You could do 11/13 on/off, or 10/14 on/off to speed up the process

i have a few questions Ive been spending alot more time with my plant as i just got fired and im starting to notice that only some of the buds are actually buds the rest just look to be hairs and leaves i really wanna fatten up my buds how could i do this in these last 2 and a half to 3 weeks. Ive bought some molasses but idk how good that works im kinda new to nutrient's and sativas all my other grows were all natural and indica.

will the molasses help much?
how much do i use per gallon of water?
is their a reason why my lower buds just aren't getting much bigger?

any help is appreciated

you can use up to 1 tablespoon per gallon of blackstrap molasses (I use the kind with the rabbit on it)
theres a very good thread about molasses here: http://www.gardenscure.com/420/organ...-goodness.html

I would guess the lower buds aren't filling out because of the distance they are from your bulb-- that is a tall sativa you have there.

Sativas can also take much much longer than indicas as you know, and may take 12-16 weeks to reach full maturity (from the start of flowering)

If the top cola is to your satisfaction (and the trichs look good) you can harvest the top portion of the plant, and then either lower your light or raise your plant.

Did you adjust the daylight hours to 10/14 yet? That will help it mature faster as well.

Could we get a picture of the buds that are just hairs?

The top has started to fill out nicely!

do you have a handheld microscope or a 20-30x magnifying glass you could use to look at the trichs?

50% cloudy?

if its mostly cloudy on the top, you could harvest that portion if you wanted (but it woudn't be flushed)

that would allow the lower part to be raised closer to the light and bulk out more

id say about 35-40% cloudy so i think im gonna give the top a week or so before i cut it then ill just take your advice and lower the light and then i will be able to move a couple from the veg room in with it.

also i had a problem last night were like 3 of my plants and 2 clones from the sativa in the veg room all of a sudden were drooped right over i gave them some down time with the light off woke up this morning and they look like nothing ever happen what could that have been?

oh and does anyone know of any cheap soils that work well from walmart,Lowe's,etc the hydro store is about an hour away and as of right now i have no transportation outta town and i need to transplant a few plants out growing their containers.

as always any help is appreciated.
