Read about the thread : Yellowness Believe me, there's no heat stress in any way around the plant I don't know what to do to prevent the yellow spots to grow I got 2 nice plants, growing very nicely, they are 3 inches height, all green and they look healty except one of them is infected with the yellow stains !and ITS GROWING - Two 24" fluros at 3 inches from the top - I don't fertilize yet, ADVISE from many good gardeners here. - They are 1 week, 1 day old - Water when the soil is completely dry - potting soil - the pot is 6 inches in diameter - 25c, around 75f, and I don'T know nothing about the humidity - A fan blowing since they are born I need to stop the prolifaration of the yellow **** Let me know. Thanx a lot. A love you all

![]() | Could be your soil. I was having problems with my current grow of Northern Lights due to bad soil, they were also yellowing and just not growing at the pace I wanted. I put them in new soil, much better, and their growth picked right up and is now healthy and dark green. If you have soil that has been made from composted wood chips or mostly peat-moss you may want to look for something better. I recommend dark, almost dried-mud-like, soil. You'll need to lighten it up a bit by adding perlite or vermiculite, but that's easy enough.

Thanx I'm looking into it. I'm sure there is something about either the soil, or too much light but I'll find out. I just went to a botanic store and I asked one of the more experience person in there why I was having yellow stuff and she said its not the soil but overwatering. well, Maybe the combination of the water and the soil I got "Peat Moss" has something to do with the problem I heard that the "Peat Moss" keep the moisture more than any other soil so I think that just by watering too much, makes the root rot. That's what I think ! I will water them just when I see they are suffering for it ahhhhh experience is getting in

![]() | welcome to hc.com marc... first off, peat moss alone is not a source of nutrients.. i wouldnt even call it "soil" .. peat moss alone will only lock out what nutrients may've been available being that it's mainly an acidic soil "AMENDMENT" to help the overall structure of ones soil mix ... it's used for mediums that dont hold much water and that drain too quick as well as to buffer a highly alkaline pH.. alone, peat moss is disastrous for our plant to grow in. too much water, not enough o2, no nutrients.. that's your main problem.. all easily fixed by transplanting into a WELL ROUNDED soil medium.. well rounded meaning water retention, aeration (the ability for roots to use oxygen while the medium is wet/moist), macro nutrients (NPK), micro nutrients (trace), and most importantly, a neutral pH of 7.0 to start, so your plant can actually USE the nutrients available in your medium... two words for u mah man - grow guides ... front of marijuana.com , bottom right corner.. get familiar with your babies .. ![]() -skunk

The soil of "Peat Moss" is a MIX of potting soil and Peat Moss its not Peat Moss alone right now the plant is growing so damn well, I can't imagine what I got right now, if only I could show some shots. My friend's sister has a digital cam 640 X 480 that I can aquire. maybe next week. I feel like a father ![]() Its just the damn yellow stains getting bigger at the extreme edge of the 2 first leafs. The newly born leafs doesnt have the yellow stuff, maybe its because I didnt have good light at first ? I had nothing else than 2 60watts bulb, I just hope the yellow spot will stop to these 2 first leafs ![]() right now I didnt notice any progress of the yellow stains ! I'll let you know about it Thanx for the advice on the Grow Guide, I've read it entirely last time. See ya next time

![]() | you the man.. ![]() sounds like you've got your gig under control .. a side note about the previous burn - it'll never go away.. as the leaf grows larger, so will the damaged spot.. nothing you can do about it. just kind of put it out of mind and let the plant progress.. keep your guard up though in case the problem wasn't just your old lights.. tally ho ![]() skunk

Exactly what I'm doing right now, cause the rest of the plant is so damn nice, now I understand a bit more about growing marijuana from nothing I don't know if I'm alone to get those feeling about the plant but I like hear so much that I would like to have children with her (would be hard tho) I don't know how to identify the kind of marijuana it is. Is it possible to know it so early ? many people are talking about SATIVA as if its the best ever ! can't wait to know if its sativa and also if she's a SHE ! its amazing when you look carefuly, all those little TINY black pistil around a node, are they all baby nodes ? Weeeeeeee if so I will have a big BUSH ! See ya
