| I have a couple of hopefully quick and painless questions. Okay, I have managed to sprout two seeds (a third is on it's way), which I beleive are Indicia (is there a way to tell even if they are only a week old?). One of them seems to be growing fine, except that the two round leaves are slightly curled down sometimes. Does this mean anything? And I have noticed that on one of the plants there is a yellow dot, and it looks a little bit less healthy then the other. Do you have any idea of what this could mean? I am growing them under flourescent light, mixed in a tray of other vegtables/flowers (they are in seperate soil sections though). They are being fertilized, and sprayed with an anti-fungus mixture. I am also curious about suger water. I have heard that sugar water increases growth rates. I know it works for cut flowers, but what about plants? I have been testing out a method that prize winning pumpkin growers use (i have been testing them on other plants, not my pot). I fill up a needle (i am diabetic so i have plenty of them) with a sugar water mixture and inject a little amount into the stem of the plant. Will this cause any bad/good effects? Thanks alot! | ||

The sugar solution feeds bacteria that break down nutrients in the soil. I doubt that "Injecting" the plant would do anything to it except cause a wound that would bring on the plants premature death.

Oh is that true? Okay thanks anyway. I am just curious though, what do you mean by feeling the soil and not the plant? How can soil be fed? Thanks alot. And if anyone else has any information on what i wrote (or a correction to what Highguy wrote) please post! | ||
