okay my plants are about 7-8in. tall know i can starat to make them bud only if i wait untill they are 12''. aaaafter that i swith the lighting period. BUT IF I DO THAT WILL THAT DECREASE MY YEILD?????????????????

Premature flowering will greatly reduce yeild. I would only suggest this if you are using a row of clones and concentrating on the top bud. This is called Sea of Green. If you've only got 1 plant, try to give it some extra time to develop. 2 ft. would be good. The idea is to get some extra nodes for your plant. With premature flowering you will end up with only one bud per plant. With a few extra weeks you can double or triple that yield.
