| I have a plant that looks really good the best one I have. But it has a long stem which I know that this could cause a problem later. My soil level was a little lower in that cup when I planted that one that is why the stem is so long, I couldn't get the light close enough to it when it was young. I now have an oscilating fan on it full time. Just a little bit of a breeze make it bend almost all the way over. It comes back but I have to turn it every twelve hours to keep it from growing the way the fan blowes it. My question is should I turn the fan off for a peroid of time each day or leave it on? Is there anything else I can do to increase the stem strength? It is a Big Bud plant so I hope I will need all the stem strength I can get. Thanks for the help. Happy Guy Hope this is in the right forum, my plants not sick just needs some help. [This message has been edited by Happy Guy (edited April 21, 2000).] | ||

That is all it takes. Just VERY VERY slight movement of the babies. At this stage, I point the fan at the wall and let it rebound off of that and I get a slight flutter of the tips and that is good enough to start them off to having stems. Once they get a little bigger then you can direct more air at them but for now just prop them up with somethign and adjust your air flow Good Growing LB

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I haven't done it my self yet but I do knwo people here who said they have used that method when transplanting and they didn't have any negative feedback on doing it that way. I am going to try it this go around since some of the seedlings have shot way up . LB
