I have a plant that is about 5 feet tall and the bottom leaves and stems seem to be dieing. The leaves are starting to turn yellow and some stems have already fallen off of the plant. So what is wrong and how can i fix this problem so i can have a healthy plant again?

It's normal for old leaves to yellow and fall. I'm not sure what you mean about stems..Leafstems? As long as the yellowing doesn't travel up the plant to the younger leaves it should be fine.
