If all precautions are taken to prevent burns and mold misting with clear water will help clean the stomata. Too much misting can have the same effect as leaching tho, washing nutrients from the leaves.

Rocky, I'd keep misting to a min. during flowering because fungus may form on your buds and ruin them. But during the vegative period I'd mist every other day. Remember to keep the mist away from the lights!!!!

Thanks for the replies. I won't mist the flowering ones but I will go ahead and mist the ones in veg state. curious though, why keep the mist from the light? is it cause they will leave spots on the bulbs and not get the light on the plant?

Water on the ballasts can have an explosive effect!!!Not quite as dangerous with floros, but HID ballasts can explode if they get wet!!
As for spraying.. I was giving mine a treat of foliar food every coupla weeks till I noticed powdery mildew on the leaves(ACK), so I would agree that it's not a great idea to spray during flower. Mist during veg seems to help them go tho.
Peace
