I have a female plant that is about 5 feet tall. She has begun budding and the large fan leaves are begining to turn yellow from the bottom of the plant to the top. She is in a 5 gallon bucket outdoors. I am getting a little worried about her. I began growing her on June 5 and she ihas been doing quite well, but the last week or so the yellowing continues. There were yellow leaves and I have been pulling them off and than the other leaves turn. Anyone have any idea what the problem is? I haven't been fertilizing lately. I did see a post about ph balance so I added a 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda to a gallon of water and watered her. I want her to be ok. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Patch: Yellowing of leaves during the flowering phase is normal as the plant begins to use up all its nitrogen. Don't pick of the leaves - she will drop them on her own when they are sucked dry of nutrients. She sounds like she is totally fine. ![]()

![]() ![]() | Conner13, Thanks for the reply. I went over to Frank's Nursery and bought a ph meter. It says 6.5 - 7.0. I bought some fert called Ironite. It has a 7-6-6 balance. The guy told me this would help. As far as the yellowing is concerned. I knew they turn yellow when flowering, but it is starting to yellow very fast for some reason. Thanks for the feedback.
