![]() | I came home today to discover a terrible occurrence. Something has damaged my leaves. I wish I had a pic. but I don't so I will try to explain the condition as best I can. There are long narrow "blotches" on my older leaves. They look like yellow/pale green blotches, but when I looked really closely I discovered it is not a discoloration at all, it is actually the top layer of the leaf that has been dissolved (as if by acid) or eaten away, and the bottom layer shows through, giving it a pale appearance in the light. This has only affected 2 sets of three bladed leaves so far. The new leaves are growing very nice and green. Also, last night there appeared to be some shiny clear residue in the exact spots where the leaf has been eaten away, but it could only be seen when looked at from a certain angle, and I dismissed it as nothing. I have been taking really great care of this plant and I don't want to start dying like my old one If anyone knows what this is and what I have to do to stop it please tell me!! Also, is there any way to reverse this damage??

![]() | Ugg, sounds like you've got bugs. Take a magnifying glass and inspect under each and every leaf. If you see any little dots, you've got 'em. If you do, take care of them FAST before they destroy your whole crop. Legalize ![]()

![]() | Thanks legalize. I read my grow books and realized it must be some kind of pest, probably some kind of mite. I bought an insectecide yesterday that is said to kill spider mites, aphids, and a bunch of other stuff and sprayed all my leaves. Damage seems to have stopped but the two leaves that were affected are in really bad condition right now I can see some small white specks around the damaged area but I don't have a magnifying glass on hand at the moment to inspect them. Do you have any insight as to what specific bug I have? Also, the pesticide says to use once every 2 weeks, but if I use it once a day will it harm my plants?
