how tall do the plants need to be before it needs to be transplanted. ie could a 2" tall plant be too big fo a 5" tall pot?

when the plant is about 10" high, move it to a 5gal bucket. Untill then, a 1gal bucket should do.

a seedling doesnt hafta be a specific height to be transplanted, the only thing to worry about is, dont let your plant go rootbound, a sprout in a 5 gallon pot is fine, and garunteed to be root-bound free, its really up to the grower and enviroment on when to transplant and what medium to use.
