How often can i apply bleach water to my plants? I have sprayed them once but I think I see a few more mites. Can I spray again, when?

![]() ![]() ![]() | Bleach water wouldn't be my first choice for dealing with spidermites. Water, insecticidal soap, neem, garlic/pepper concoctions- all are safer than bleach water.

![]() | Bleach water is totaly safe for your plants as CL is a nute in small amounts. I sray then when i see mites and i leave them for a few days and if i see more i do it again. MY mixture is 4liters of water and 1 tablespoon of bleach. I heat it to about 95f then i spay soil first then bottom of leaves and work my way up the plant them i sray all tops. I do this if i see mites no water what stage i'm in. Last time i have to do this 1 week from harvest and ill tell you that it doesnot harm or effect the buds one bit.

Thank you. I've been hoping someone had tried this. The sollution did wonders but the mites did some damage and quickly too. Live and learn See ya ![]() P.S. The mites are back. To HD tomorrow for insecticidal soap.

![]() | That is a great question! I have not yet gone to flowering but that info would be great to know. I just sprayed with Schultz's Houseplant & Garden Insect Spray. It says "May be used on edible crops up to and including day of harvest". Looks good to me. Thanks for lookin' in. Stop by my grow journal "Getting Started". Your input is always respected and welcome. See ya ![]()

as far as i have read, the edible crops should be washed before eatten which i would not recommend doing to buds! I have heard that chemical sprays should never be used on flowering plants. I have been told to make sure mites are totally gone BEEFORE starting flowering because u cant used these products when flowering, and the mites really thrive on a flowering plant. My brother has had luck just using soap and water on his flowering plant with mites but that is still not ideal. On am currently waiting to be sure my little spidermite farm has been completly inilated, because my baby just cant wait to start flowering! I am using "Safers End-All" from home depot. It seems to work well because it kills eggs, larvae, and adults, most dont do all forms, which causes people problems. I have used a peppers, garlic, potion before and it helped alot but it did not wipe them all out. Good Luck! buD
