This is one of three posts, all unrelated (i think!) problems. I've had lots of problems with nutes in the past, so on this grow I decided to try 3 different approaches: pre-ferted MG potting soil, and organic mix, and plain old top-soil using chemical ferts. I can't believe how much I suck at this... Seeds were germinated on 08/15/2003, kept under 8 2' flouros for one month, then moved under a 400W hps. They are now over 2 months old and look like crap. This is a pic of the plant in MG soil (linked from the pic post at marijuana.com per rick's instructions) http://pictures.marijuana.com/galler...=3407&uuid=449

![]() | I noticed the leaves curling up, as was expected from mg pre-ferted soil with no magnesium, so I have been watering with MgSO4 for about a month. The upward curling seems a bit better, but growth is soooo sluggish. height = 8 inches temp ~ 80 F Any ideas?

![]() | I have always used M G soil, with No problems! I do have one plant now(3 weeks) that is showing a little leaf curl. i was told to flush with epson salt, or use lime to solve the problem, going to do a little more research! The main thing when growing with MG soil, is to have a moister meter, and ONLY water when dry!! Hope this helps

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i've grown in mg without any trouble either and i don't add anything in veg unless the bottom starts to yellow. then i add some green leaves grow juice and it clears it up. then i add some 1.5-4-5 bloom fert in early and mid flowering about every third watering or until i see some burning going on and that's about it/

![]() | I DO test my water PH, even when I use rainwater, But with MG soil ONLY water when soil is dry, when you start flushing you are asking for trouble, I always have a few yellow tips when the plants are young, they get better as they get bigger, mx MG soil with one third perlite, sometimes I mix a little plain old top soil with my mix when they are young to cut down on some ferts, but when they g to 5 allon pots it is just perlite and MG. GET awater meter!! Hope this helps

![]() ![]() ![]() | PH. very important. vegging you want a lower PH aroun 6 to 6.5. In flowering you want from 6.5 to 7.5. Its very easy to get off these tracks without a PH tester. ANd plants suffer. If ph is off....
