![]() | I have three plants with problems. One is looking pale green, particularly in the new growth up top. It seems to be worsening, fading to yellow in places. There are purplish stems on the upper leaves also. The other two are constantly pointing their leaves sharply upward, instead of nice and spread out. This seems to be most pronounced in the mornings, when the lights have just come on, and seems to generally fluctuate throughout the day. I really have no idea what's causing this, help? My system: 400W Sodium HPS (Son T Agro) about 4 foot square, about 5 foot high. temp around 76-80 in the day ((25-30 C)?) 60-72 at night ((15-22 C)?) 3rd week of flowering at 12/12 Plants are Mazar from dutch passion - a Skunk#1/Afghani cross. Using soil, 2 parts potting compost to 1 part perlite. Fertilising using Canna's Terra Flores (previously Terra Vega for vegetative growth). In largish pots. Have no pH kit, but am pretty sure its stable, I think! I have tried using Epsom salts in case it was an Mg deficiency, but have'nt had time to see any results yet, plllleeeaaaaassseeeee help me......

![]() ![]() ![]() | how often are you watering? this could be a K deficiency...or it could be other things. What's the nutrient profile on the ferts you're using? Does it have micronutes? Also, this thread might be of some use to you. Let us know what you think after taking a look at it. rganic

![]() | My nutes have all the necessary nutes, micronutes and then some, all in handy dandy chelates, don't know the exact profile off hand, but I never had probs with it before, with exactly the same variety/setup. I would doubt they are a problem, watering about 2 times daily as and when the surface soil dries reasonably, fertilising every other day, no real problems with previous harvests, or with this one up till now....am a little puzzled to be honest... Epsom salts don't appear to have effected my pale green plant. Might try foliar feeding in a coupla days to see if I can get any results. I'll post some pics in a few weeks when I get them developed, apart from all this they're looking MIGHTY fine....... P.S. I think you've got the wrong picture about my leaves, they are not CURLING at all, the whole leaf, including the stem is reaching upward, as if the plant is closing up almost...

![]() ![]() ![]() | If you're watering twice a day, you could very well overwatering. Are you letting the soil dry out down to the bottom of the pots? Also, you should check the pH. If the pH is off it can lock out nutrients, which might be happening. Actually, since all the other variables seem even, it might very well be that. rganic

![]() ![]() | As long as my lights werent too far away, I always looked at your symptoms as a good sign. Mostly I see this during veg, though. cant see how you can water/fert as often as you do and not be overwatering/ferting. Unless your growing in like pure perlite, or something. Smokin

![]() | Have given them a bout of foliar feed and this seems to have made a world of difference to the pale greeny inside 12 hours. Smokinrav- the plants are ALWAYS totally dry when I water them, I have an oscillating fan which seems to quicken transpiration and soil drying, but I always check thoroughly. The ferts I am using are designed specifically for alternate day use, and my plants are a particularly nutrient and K hungry variety, this, I suspect is the reason for the yellowing and purpling stems. Anyway, apart from the pointy uppy thing, all seems well, nice crystal dusting starting now....haha! Thanks for your input guys, most appreciated! Might get a pH kit just in case.... Virgo- yeah this can be a serious problem when grown in compactive soils, particularly outside, but I've got a liberal amount of perlite in a relatively loose medium, so its probably OK, but thanks for the pointer dude.
