Indoor soil grow Plants are 5 weeks old Growth from seed 6-9 inches tall container sizes range from 1/2 gal to 2 gal containers. I'll probably transplant to larger containers this afternoon, although none of the plants are rootbound. Soil mix is 70% non-pre-ferted topsoil, 30% Perlite Water about every 4 days, when the soil is dry and the plants just begin to droop. I water with distilled water, as I suspected tap water was a problem on my last grow. I use 10-10-10 miracle grow at 1/2 strength, plus 1/2 tsp per gallon MgSO4. Fertilize every third watering. Started ferting at 3 weeks Lighting is 400W hps, air cooled by a squirrel fan. Added a heat shield to the setup, so it puts out hardly any heat. Plants are 5 inches from the heat sheild, 7-8 inches from bulb 8 sq ft (2' X 4') grow space 85 degrees F with lights on. I do not know the pH of the soil, but I'll test rught now and repost. I have not noticed any insect activity. ---------------------------- This is my seventh grow. Oddly enough, my first was the most successful THey started to show signs of Mg deficiency, but I watered with epsom slats and that seems to have coorected the problem. Their growth is very stunted. New leaves are small, twisted, and curled. Bottom leaves are yellowing. Also the older growth is curled under both longitudinally and from edge to edge.

![]() | Dude you said it was 85 degrees, with the lights on, marijuana thrives in temperatures ranging from 68-78 degrees, with a substantial 15 degree drop, during flowering. So you have to find a way to keep it cool. Try putting some ice in there or something, personnaly ice just came to my mind just now, alright, if you want put some ice in a metal can then place it in your grow room for about half an hour every time the temperature comes above 76 degrees, I garantee this, will definetly help the drooping. If half an hour isn't long enough just, keep a timer of how long it takes for the temperature to come down to 73 degrees and use that as your schedule. Good luck

The plants are actually doing quite well now. Even though the roots had not reached the bottom of the smaller pots, they seem to like the larger containers much better. Thanks for all the help, everyone!

![]() | I have plenty of CaCl2 sitting around, so that's no problem. Any suggested amount to mix in with my next watering?

hi there well I saw the pictures nice lookings girls I just had the same problem myself while a trying a different germination method... and it came out of it just fine just took longer to grow fertilize normally and make sure your fert do contain trace elements if you add too much epsom salts you will lock out your plants ability to uptake nutrients then you will have a real problem ![]()
