TheRisingSun is beginning to sprout.
Unhappy Veg problems

Hi, I'm growing indoors under a 65 watt Florex and two 42 watt compact floros. Recently I had to transplant because the roots outgrew the pot but I've had some problems. Since the transplant they have started to look real unhealthy. One plant died and the other's leaves are yellowing.

Am I doomed? Is there anything I can do other than sit any pray that they come through? They aren't that big so I didn't think I should put nutes in yet.

Also, do you think there's enough light on them? I've read a lot of good things about compact floros on this site but I'm not quite sure if I'm using enough. I've seen posts with people who use both more and less than I do, so I have no clue if my babies are getting enough light.

I would be really bummed if these failed on me, all comments/criticism appreciated. Thanks!

Hi TheRisingSun....

Welcome to Hc

I'll whisk this over to the nursery as you'll get a better response to your problem over there. I'm a hydro grower so unfortunately I can't help you with this particular problem. If you provide info like nutes strength, soil ph, watering frequency..in fact as much as you can, folks will be better placed to ghive you advice

cheers

Xjo

consumer is starting to vegetate.

it seems that you severe damaged your roots. they could get better, it depends by the level of damage, but they can also die. don't put any nutes if they're still young (younger that 3 weeks).

No one answered your light question

And....well.....yes more light is always better. I really dont know the size of your grow area, but the general rule of thumb, is to have 5000 lumes a suqare foot. From what I can understand, you have a few plants, and a few plants uses a fair amount of space. The flourex is 8k(I think) and the 42w flouros are probably 1.5k lumens. This would equal about 10k, which would only be sufficient for 2sq ft. Lighting doesnt sound like your issue however, because in the veg state the plants are smaller, so they really dont need insane amounts of light. However, more light is always better. Personally id look into HID, or at least more flouros when you get a chance.

Good luck,

TG
