Whats the main cause for dry brittle leaves, Ive been watering only when it dries out but not leaving them with dry periods at a time. Ive also started spraying them once a day and they have a small computer fan on them blowing gently. moistures about 50% around the plants.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | whats ppm? is that the amount of stuff in the water? will move the fan to mostly face the wall. will put a damp towel in, had been using saucers but not effective. rh at bottom since transplant has gone up to 50% no pre fert, also basically no proper amounts of fert added by liquid. chicken poo in pellet form but i was warned so added only 5 small pellets a pot. they were watered thoroughly when transplanted, and every time the soil is completly dry. what do u mean waiting for roots is too late? i see roots out the bottom of the pot after a week or so of transplanting? thanx- bud!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | PPm is the parts per million of diffrent minerals etc, what do you collect the rain water in too. I can't reaaly see a problem coming from the rain water itself as long as it's not to acidic or alkalyne. What type of testing device do you have is it possible the calibration is out? Thats really fast just a week to already see roots comming out how high up are your drain holes? Roots and light do not mix. How much bigger is the container your transplanting into? Humidity still only 50% that surprises me what did the wet towel bring it up too? How did the roots look when you transplanted? Still lookin for answers, IWIC

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | its collected in a water butt from the houses guttering. some of it had been sitting there a while but its clear. i only use chemical testing. dont have a digital ph tester. having problems locating one in the city. plus dont they cost £££! the rh was actually less last time i looked at 35%. but they were drying out. now the towels wetter and plants watered so should be better. the roots were starting to go round the sides but they werent the worst ive seen by far. the roots take no time at all to get to the bottoms whenever i transplant i thought it was normal even with massive pots. root growth is stimulated by the dryness. i usually leave them to dry out completely then water straight away. is this wrong?
