new sprouts?

are new sprouts soppose to look all cured up like this? i didnt put them under 2 42w cfls for a night when they first sprouted would that be too much light?

Kinda hard to see the pics pothead. They seem to be ok. How long has it been above the surface? They usually straighten up pretty fast. Are they looking ok otherwise(color etc.)?

You can put them under your lights without a problem. Just start them (the lights) up a little, and lower them some each day until you have them tucked right up next to the cfls.

Now...my big question. What are you using for a soil mix? I've never seen anything like that before.

its a mixture i bought it at a nursey, it contains peat moss, perlite, charcoal, gypsum and root cuttings, but yea they have been up for almost a day and the tips the leaves are getting brown, well are brown

Seedlings look pretty contorted when they come out of the shell. You would be too if you were compressed into the size and shape of an egg They will spread out and grow towards the light, that is if they keep growing. Brown sprouts is a bad sign - could be damping off. Did you add anything to this soil mix? Seedlings don't like or need ferts/nutes of any kind.

nope i didnt do anything to the soil no ferts in it, but the one seedling like came out brown....i did water them as they sprouted though with my spray bottle

no dude the soil is fine, i think it was the sun bc i left them in a window ceil with plastic wrap over them and the sun might have got to them, or when i put them on that heat pad the pots did get pretty damn hot, could that of done it?
