Yellow leaves

HELP! My baby has been under a grow lamp for (12-12) 3 days and is losing the deep green in the leaves and is yellowing. The plant is in a 150cm. x 100cm. X 50cm. cabinet. It gets alternating regular water and ferts each watering...when its dry. The lamp is about 70cm. above the plant, and there is a fan blowing when the lamp is on, so its not real warm in the cabinet. Question is...why? Is the lamp too far? Should I fertilize more often? Whats a mother...father, actually to do? Thanks for any assistance.

Hi DieHi, and welcome to HC.

I've moved your thread over to the Nursery Forum. The Growth Forum is used for particular plant growth questions, while the Nursery is used specifically for plant health issues.

Whenever you start a thread in the Nursery, it's best done by 1st filling out the Nursery questionnaire found at the top of the Nursery Forum listings.

You can also access the questionnaire by clicking the link named Nursery Posting Guidelines, in my signature below. Note that there are 2 different questionnaires to chose from...Soil based, or Hydroponics based. Please use the list that pertains to your grow .

Thanks, and Good luck

Question Info

First, to Beener. Thanks for the posting info, I'll try to get my posts in the right place. To Pearl, thanks for the fast answer. I grow in bagged soil...PH 5.0 - 6.5 (meant for cactus plants, actually), NPK 7.7.10. I use liquid ferts, and since I've just started the 12-12, instead of the recommended dose of 5-10ml. to liter water, I use around 1.5 per liter. The strain is 4-Way, a mix of different sativas, I guess.Humidity is generally low. Experience? Been doing this for a few years, and I've had this problem before. I've harvested plants that were almost completely yellow and I would really like to solve this once and for all. And I THINK I see the problem...N is too low, right? What do you think? Thanks again for your help.

Ok, now I'm trying an NPK 7-3-5 liquid fert, mixed to 3ml. per liter water instead of the recommended 5ml., to start at least. Maybe that will get those ladies green and lovely again
