Arrow Aurora Indica - Yellow stripes on new leaves, WTF?? (PICS!!)
permalink

Now then, This is the progress so far for my 3 Aurora Indicas and 1 plant that I planted for the heck of it, found it in some half descent green, looks to be sativa...

Anyway, using a GT205 NFT sytem with half strength Grow A and Grow B which came with the tank... 400watt HPS about 120cm away, Oscillating fan, Temp is between 28-31 degrees, Humidity around 30%, PH 5.5 (although it managed to creep up to about 6.8 rescently)... No Air stone or nute heater as yet for the tank but its on my urgent puchases list...

3 weeks on now, Showed slight burn marks on the tips of new leaves also left the last inch of leaf looked like it had been ironed... but its not been getting any worse, I think it was because the tops of the leaves where getting wet from the condensation on the top of the propagator (Completion of the growroom took longer than expected and the plants managed to grow up to the top of the lid and squash themselves up against it)...

I put them into the NFT 5 days ago, the roots are looking nice but about 3 days ago the yellow stripes appeared on newly forming leaves, there is also slight dark patches on a few leaves, The first picture shows it well... One leaf is curling in aswell... can anyone point me in the right direction?

Muchly appreciated

(by the way, Im using the usual 3" cubes and ive left the paper wrapping on, will this be causing problems? Should I take it off?)

Here is what I would do. First, take the paper off the rockwool cubes if they are in your system now. The roots will need to come out of the sides of the cubes as well as the bottom. Next I would empty my resevoir and change it with fresh water that has sat out at least 24-48 hours. Add your nutes at full strength and get your ph at 6.0. If my calculations are correct, 120 cm is like almost 4 feet. You definately need to move your light closer. I would move it down to about 40-45 cm away from the tops. I wouldn't recommend a res heater. Those usually just speed up algae growth and cause higher levels of humidity which can promote mold growth later in the grow.
