Hi Gang,
Well you get 1 problem solved, another one raises it's ugly head. This time it's on the root end. The top side is finally looking good after starving them for weeks. But the roots just where they exit the RW cubes seem to be withering. The growth from there down is beautiful clean white stuff. Im just concerned about the thinning of the roots right under the cubes.

Hydro Growers:
1. Are you growing from seed or clones? Seeds
2. How old are your plants? 9 wks
3. How tall are your plants? 4-6"
4. What type of hydro system are you using? DWC
5. What brand/type of nutrients are you using? Life circle Millineum Series.
6. Do you have a PPM/EC meter? Yes
7. What is the PPM/EC of your tap water? 60
8. What is the PPM/EC of your nutrient solution? 690 (not including water)
9. What is the temperature of your nutrient solution? normally 65-73*
10. Does your PPM/EC show a rise or fall when you do your daily PPM check? Had been rising till drastically upped the nutes., now it's falling
11. Does your pH show a rise or fall when you do your daily check? Gradually rising
12. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights". 150W HPS & Cool tube
13. How close are your lights to the plants? 6-8"
14. What size is your grow space in square feet? 1.5sf
15. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space? 81*/30%
16. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space? no
17. How much experience do you have growing? 1st grow..

Heres some pics:

Any help input will be appreciated.

I did add 2 tsp H2O2 today to see if it will help..

If anyone can help, I would sure appreciate it. I would hate to scrap my 1st grow..

ThanX

could it have to do with the level of the nutes/water in the res.....i mean it looks like the parts that are obviously in the water are doing great......could the roots closer to the cube need more water???

Hi Q, Actually the top root pic is more representative of the whole grow. The bottom pic was shaded yellow by the HPS. But anything that is not at the top just under the cubes is nice white healthy, almost pristine.. The Topside looks good, im not really gonna sweat this unless the plants themselves start showing problems. 25-8 may be right, possibly low nute level and drying out..

Yeah man, the plants do look to be on the upswing, Good growing. Also be aware that the roots that are not in the water, aerial roots almost, will have a different structure than the water roots.

Good Growing

good call Q......never thought of it that way.......but even in my aero setup the roots look different where they stay in the water all the time as opposed to where they are misted only

Nitrogen and iron deficiency to begin with. Second, not a bacterial root rot. You would see huge signs of necrosis on the leaves, and rust-black-or even reddish hints in the roots. Plus, a smell other than a fertilizer type of smell from the water( especially if its reclaimed) or from the roots themselves.
